  1. Sounds like an incredible drive...will definitely have to put it on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  2. You would need to measure it for the external diameter Link to item on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-Clamp-on-Flexi-Tube-Joint-Flexible-Pipe-Repair-50-x-200mm-2-x-8-Flex-/351360775301?hash=item51cebbf485:g:R-EAAOSweW5VHRXP
  3. That's a stunning looking car Mark....and thanks for sharing the pictures with us....completely jealous now :-(
  4. Hi Mik...welcome to the Forum If it's a holed flexi-hose joining up to the cat, you can replace them by removing it (if fitted with u-clamps) or by cutting off the old ones and welding in new ones. Otherwise, sounds like a great car if that and the wings are the only issues. Cheers Trevor
  5. Hi William....welcome to the Forum I would contact the local Audi dealer who should be able to supply you with the code for free....VW dealers do. Maybe get the code before disconnecting the live feed, just pull the radio out until you can see the label on it and you need the serial number to get the code (i think also the model number, etc) and proof of ownership (registration documents). Let us know how you get on with it. Cheers Trevor

Hi John...welcome to the Forum I have absolutely no idea what that could be unless its something in the heater motor and it disappears once its got to speed? Try starting it with the heater fan off and see if it disappears. Cheers Trevor
  7. Hi Josh....welcome to the Forum I wouldn't worry about it just yet as chances are you will scuff it again at some point in time. I think if you are going to sell it any time then maybe replace the valence part as it should be separate to the painted bumper. Cheers Trevor
  8. Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum I would say the Audi has the edge over the VW for better residual value over time but apart from that I can't think of much else to be honest Let us know what you decide and how you got to the decision. Cheers Trevor
  9. It doesn't sound like the starter motor if its turning the engine over (at a constant speed) or even the battery. However, if its turning over at a slower speed then it could be the battery, starter or even wiring at fault. Other areas to consider are fuel filter; loss of pressure within the filter head, immobiliser, etc May be worth running a scan on it if you cannot find anything wrong with the battery or starter. Keep us updated on this one Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi...welcome to the Forum Here is a link to some units, they don't seem cheap for the LED ones though http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A3-S3-RS3/Rear-Light-Assemblies/44262 Would like to see a photo of what they look like when you change them, cheers Trevor
  11. There is an article on here about tuning by way of fitting a Tuning Box http://www.audiownersclub.com/news/reviews/club-reviews/product-reviews/electronic-engine-tuning-guide/ Only advice I can offer on any tuning mods is to ensure that the engine/transmission is healthy before upgrading power as this is when things start going wrong. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  12. Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum Interesting conclusion to what must have been a really annoying (understatement!) problem. I have only ever experienced this before with cars that have been horrendously out of alignment on the front wheels where the tyres tend to drag and buck when on a hard lock and the power being applied. As FrenchAvant has stated, tyre pressures also could account for it in some respects, so worth seeing what the pressures are set to now and that may answer that question. Thanks for the feedback and letting us know so that we can enter it into our knowledgebase in case others experience this fault in the future. Cheers Trevor
  13. Hi Bill....welcome to the Forum I completely agree with what Magnet has said, there are several reasons not to alter the specifications set by the manufacturers for the car, in particular, safety and handling! I would however, discuss it with a reputable tyre company to gain further insight into the pros & cons. Keep us updated on this Cheers Trevor
  14. It could be the heater/climate distribution mechanism resetting on a stepper motor when it powers down
  15. Hi Martyn....welcome to the Forum Audi claim 40.4 for the S3 but these are probably more realistic figures Urban mpg 32.1 mpg Extra Urban mpg 47.9 mpg Average mpg 40.9 mpg Keep us updated with the progress on the swap over Cheers Trevor
  16. Hi Kyle...welcome to the Forum The wheel should fit but not sure if there will be any incompatibility with the controls, etc. Let us know what you find out and if the swap works okay Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Ian...welcome to the Forum Can't really comment on this as personally never experienced the standard suspension but at an extra £2k plus it is a lot more but equally something that seems worth the cost if the reviews are stating that the ride is awesome. Go on...push the bank balance a bit further into the red :-) Let us know how you decide to go with this decision Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Chris...welcome to the Forum The A5 is a great car and so is the Alfa GT (we have one in the family)...glad you've sussed all the functions now, not an easy task! There is some info for MMi in the Tutorial and Technical information sections of this Forum but as a quick answer I would say that it is not the card at fault but with the formatting or the system not being activated yet Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  19. Great result Ian....not the cheapest bulbs but at least it's now sorted.
  20. Hi and welcome to the Forum Wow, you do seem to have a few faults...including what looks like an engine management fault. The first place I would start is with checking the bulbs and connections, then move onto the fuses. Alternatively, there could be issues with the wiring but start with the simple stuff first. Also, make sure that the correct bulbs have been fitted in the first place as wrong bulbs can backfeed other ones in the system and bring up faults elsewhere. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  21. Sounds like a fantastic road to drive Spuggy ...will look up some piccies of it shortly. What time of year did you drive it as i've heard you've got to get there around the right time of year otherwise its a bit hostile (weather wise, not the locals)?
  22. The A4 should give the performance and comfort but unfortunately not the same space but at least it's not as small as the A1 - have you seen the boot space on one? :-)
  23. Hi Raza...welcome to the Forum The A6 is a beautiful car but I think you may find the move to an A4 quite a bit different but if it is more suitable for the type of driving that you do, then maybe it's the way to go. Keep us updated on the decision. Cheers Trevor
  24. It's so hard to say with rattles, I think it may be a case of taking it into a garage to be on the safe side
  25. Hi Dave.....welcome to the Forum If it is the Diesel engine then the tensioner and is like this one then it's about halfway down below the alternator Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
