Hi Daz...welcome to the Forum It sounds like a power distribution fault. I would be tempted to close the roof fully and then disconnect the battery and when reconnecting, ensure that you code the remote plip to the car to reset the alarm system. See if that cures the electrical system gremlins...let us know what you find. Cheers Trevor

Hi Robert...welcome to the Forum I have the same problem on a Golf (same mechanics) and I beleive that the fault is down to the linkage seizing. Worth checking the fuse first to see if it has blown....especially if there is ice on the screen and the blades stick, tends to either break the linkage or blow the fuse. Hi Simon Not the expert on these audio systems but can you alter the sound output on the iPod (e.g. speakers, surround, bass, club, opera, etc). May alter the output slightly to improve the bass. Let us know what you find as useful for other members who may be experiencing this issue. Cheers Trevor

Sorry, just read your post again....I assumed the revs just went high before pulling away but if you mean that you have to raise the revs to pull away then quite possibly the transmission fluid level could be low. If this is the case, then where is the leak, but it could always benefit from a fluid and filter change to improve things.

Hi Mike...welcome to the Forum First thoughts would be the fuse, if not then check the condition of the vehicle battery and if necessary do a reboot by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Anyone got any thoughts on this one ???? Cheers Trevor

I agree with Darth_stinky (great name by the way!)...if you can access it to clean it then it would be far cheaper than replacement and give you the immense satisfaction that you've saved yourself bucket loads of money and got it working again. I would however, clean the toothbrush thoroughly before putting it back into daily service again :-) Keep us updated on the progress Cheers Trevor
