I've done 120K in mine and they're the original discs so can't complain really. I asked the mechanic to clean the hubs anyway after what was said here. My guy put the car on a rolling road so he could also feel the shaking. My discs and pads came to £350 plus VAT for reference.

Sadly skimming is a thing of the past, I asked, just not done anymore. Just had the bill as well, it had to be done but it's not cheap!!

Nitch, Fixed! Had a long motorway trip slowing down at 70 thought the car might shake itself apart! Got it on a rolling road discs all over the place, new discs on the front and pads, smooth as a babies.....

Hmm, similar issue here. Put the heating to auto get cold air, irrespective of temperature setting, engine is up to temp, coolant full. Change to manual settings, hot air but only on the passenger side, passenger footwell, side vents, passenger centre and rear all toasty, drivers cold so closed them. No fault codes. Suggestions that the system needs flushing? Or a stuck heater door but the one for the drivers side needs the foot pedals and column removing for access so that's not happening. Having to drive with a blanket FFS. Any ideas

Hi All, Had this problem for a while. 70 mph on the motorway, the guy in front slows down so just apply a bit of pressure to the brake would make the car shake violently but not through the steering column. Hit the brakes hard, no problem but just a feather touch was horrible and the longer the journey the worse the shaking. Upshot - warped discs on the front - 120K on the originals so no complaints. New discs and pads, problem gone.

Nitch, that's exactly the same symptoms, mine also gets worse the longer I drive so it gets really bad on a motorway journey. I therefore think it's the discs as heat must be playing a part. Having it all checked in two weeks, will let you know.

I have the same sort of problem. For no apparent reason the bluetooth has become intermittent, it constantly drops out and then reconnects. The advice from the phone company is to completely remove all devices connected via bluetooth and reset the system in the car and phone. I'll see how it goes. On the same subject, has anyone connected their 2016 MMI to Google play and if so how - Audi want a small forntune for either a cable or a memory card.

Hi, I have this exact same issue, had it for a while. The car is fine just around town on short runs etc but once we're on the motorway touching the brakes lightly I'm getting a judder which can be felt in the car by the front passenger. Put my foot hard on the brakes and we're fine, car stops but that touch to slow down - keeping to 50 in the average speed bits for example where you're just touching the brakes is dreadful. I had the problem prior to the MOT, garage couldn't find a problem and it sailed through the test. Look forward to anyone's thoughts

Hi, New to this but I have a very similar problem on my 2016 A6/C7 auto: If I set the heater to auto I get cold air from all the vents. If I change to manual and set the direction to face I get hot and can control that temperature from Hi to 21 degrees but I only get hot from the passenger and passenger side centre vents. If I open the driver vents I get cold/tepid air. Likewise the vents in the rear, one hot one not. Any other vents setting such as foot well I get cold. Setting the heating to clear the windscreen I get hot passenger side and cold driver. There are no fault codes. I had a mechanic take a look, he thought it was a sensor which isn't a lot of help. One other thing, I noticed the coolant level in the expansion tank had dropped so topped that up but no change. Thanks in anticipation
