Thanks for sharing, I serviced a car the other week and the guy described a jolt he was getting once per long drive. Obviously a difficult thing to diagnose, particularly if it's not your own car and no fault codes. Changed fuel filter and DSG oil as part of it but he said the problem remained, occuring once on a 2 hour drive. I asked him was it a smooth loss of power or sudden. He said it was a harsh jolt. How would you describe your hesitation? Yes agree forum are a great source of info. These are getting on in age and mileage so great to have the info on them. Good luck with the sensors. Brian

If you have decent Audi main dealer nearby. Go in with your VIN and buy a fuel filter etc. and ask them if them about the airbag. I would see how much it is there too before going ebay.

Hi Ciaran, I have one here with a bigger screen to install. It folds back flush onto the original position. Screen is almost the full size of the surround. Will let you know how it goes.

Does it maintain proper heat on the drivers side when you turn passenger side to cold?

This can be caused if the car sat up for a while, you end up with rust and forming unevenly because of the brake pad. Or if you brake heavily and leave your foot on the brake the pad can imprint into the disk. It's hard to spot by eye but it doesn't take much of a line perpindicular to the disk travel to cause a vibration. You will feel it mostly in the steering wheel shaking(on hydraulic steering at least) and through your foot.

You could go and fit a filter having done a full flush as per vid and switch to g12evo. Not sure its required. Coolant is staying clear so far. Timing belt is due this year or next so will re assess then.

Ye I think they will be all getting to that age now. I think gunk is related to the EGR cooler. I tried flushing the core in place. Didn't work. Fitted a few coolant filters which just blocked up with the soup. Dodgy enough approach in hindsight as creates alot of back pressure which could blow a hose. It wasn't a small filter either! My silica bag had a small hole but I don't think it was the issue. Tbh i think i released the teaspoon of silca below into the system, trying to pull out the old bag. You want to remove the tank before pulling it out. They are glued in place firmly on these.

Iwan in this video reckons you can pull the whole blower assembly out. Maybe a better way.

Hope this helps someone with no heat/ heat on passenger side only. Pig of a job. It fights you at every step. Great to have it done however, especially with the frosty mornings we have been getting lately. Details of the misery is contained in the video below. If you're taking it on and unsure of anything give me a shout.

Just to note a bit of H&S, when you do remove that hose, coolant will fire out of the downpipe. At your face if it's in around where the camera is above.

True yes.The clip audi suggest is very difficult to get off. You might get it with the proper tool?! The one on the downpipe came off handy enough and it is at the same level more or less. A big screwdriver(mini crow bar) levered against the metal bracket below will get it moving. I have documented the whole procedure of drain-flush- heater core swap-refill-bleed. Mostly in video from unfortunately 🙂 Will try piece it together and upload at some stage. If anyone has any questions about it give me a shout.

Scrolling through the manual I found this, states it is the aux pump. Scolling it is under the intake pipe from the airbox. I'll have another look. I did think it was beside the DPF looking at the first image.
