  1. Why would you bother to get Audi to do the work? I could understand if the car was newish. Buy yourself a used door off eBay and fit it yourself, less than £100 all done, pocket the rest to make up for the hassle.
  2. I would say so, there's nothing to suggest the engine is seized. Your mechanic is trying to rotate the engine with the injectors still in, it could simply be compression that's stopping it from turning. These V6 engines are a big lump.
  3. I'd personally start with a new battery. God knows what the old starter motor did to it if it was draining it straight away.
  4. Its very common, in any car. Its usually condensation built up in the exhaust which turns into steam as the car warms up. It will usually disappear after a while when its all evaporated.
  5. Can you not just take it to an upholsterer, they will be able to repair the affected area and most likely match the current colour.
  6. Could be something as simple as replacing the coolant temperature sensor. That's what I would change first before looking too deeply.
  7. Hi Jeremy, Does the below help? Not sure what year this is for but might be worth a look.
  8. Welcome David, remember to post pictures when you get it.
  9. At least the problems sorted now Peter.
  10. Moonstone Blue on a Mk1 Cozzy.
  11. I'd get a 2nd opinion on the battery & alternator before doing anything. A faulty alternator certainly can affect the cluster, but also it could be the cluster itself. I personally wouldn't rely on anything Halfords say. I'm not saying they are wrong but would trust an auto electrician more.
  12. Hi Brett, could be the crankcase breather (PCV) clogged from years of grime.
  13. I'd be having the battery tested if it was me. I've heard loads of complaints about Lion batteries, I've always bought my batteries online from Tayna.
  14. Your right, they certainly don't on the older jags. Would it be possible to connect a battery charger to an alternative ground point to try and kid the car that the battery is still connected.
  15. I know its not the same car, but I had a similar issue on my XKR. It turned out to be a bit of corrosion on the ground cable from the battery to the car body. I just removed the cable, cleaned with wire brush & reconnected and not had a problem since. May be worth a look.
  16. That looks proper smart.
  17. Cheers Guys. Its a 3.0TDI
  18. Hi All, Would anyone know what size socket I need for the oil filter housing cap?
  19. I've got a jag like that, the noise is so addictive you just have to floor it at every opportunity.
  20. What do you get out of the RS5 Chris?
