My previous A4 did that passenger side front. I lived with it but since moving it on my friend has solved it by replacing the door lock module.
-
Thanks for the info. How many litres does your tank hold?
-
Open question: How many miles/litre of AdBlue is everyone getting, and driving pattern?
-
I think I've missed why you pulled the engine.

You're welcome. Sounds like everything is OK now then. -
Adblue fault no restart after 650miles, Error codes P20BC,P20E8

This link might yield something useful, especially checking connectors. https://pmmonline.co.uk/technical/resolving-an-audi-a4s-adblue-warning-fault/ I don't know about the heater reference 'A'. I've checked the A5 B9 erWIN manual and the only reference I can find to a heater is in the supply line for the V437 pump. Might be helpful to post the full scan, if you have it. -
Search "Audi front rings 285mm" on eBay You might also want to consider getting some smaller black mesh to go behind the badge https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005BP79ZS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Audi A5 B9 2.0 190 In the interest of sharing info (and to mitigate an AdBlue system related issue) I have been logging what VCDS tells me on some parameters. My driving pattern is a 70 miles round trip for work (3 days/week) of A roads, and several 15-20 minute trips of again mostly A roads. We typically use my wife's car at weekend, otherwise I'll do another 60 miles round trip (minimum) drive on A roads. My driving style to work is either conservative (avg. 57mph to get 76mpg+) or less patient where the economy drops to 64mpg. The shorter runs are less consistent 😃 I only use Esso or Shell fuel with a dose of either Archoil. The data can be found in VCDS under: 01-Engine > Advanced Measuring Blocks > Look for 'red' values in the pop up menu ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Thursday,04,August,2022,07:44:46:03341 Mileage: 121393km-75430miiles (approx) IDE03142 Remaining vehicle distance until reducing agent deficiency 17701.75 km IDE03143-ENG57549 Remaining engine starts until reducing agent deficiency-Bits 0-7 25 IDE03144 Used reducing agent since last service 161924.092 g IDE06254-ENG57549 Status of a reducing agent warning-Bits 0-7 0 IDE10031 Sensor for reducing agent fill level: fill level height 163 mm IDE10032 Reducing agent quality sensor: urea concentration 399.99 % IDE10039 Reducing agent quality sensor: validity 1 IDE10246 Reducing agent tank volume: act. value filtered 19858 ml IDE10247 Reducing agent tank volume: act. value calculated 20.17 l IDE10879 Sensor for reducing agent fill level: calibrated 82.17 % ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday,14,August,2022,20:32:21:03341 Mileage: 121992km-75802mi IDE03142 Remaining vehicle distance until reducing agent deficiency 17417.25 km IDE03143-ENG57549 Remaining engine starts until reducing agent deficiency-Bits 0-7 25 IDE03144 Used reducing agent since last service 162524.613 g ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday,13,September,2022,18:43:22 Mileage: 123287km-76606mi Repair Order: IDE03142 Remaining vehicle distance until reducing agent deficiency 16664.00 km IDE03143-ENG57549 Remaining engine starts until reducing agent deficiency-Bits 0-7 25 IDE03144 Used reducing agent since last service 163692.646 g ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Saturday,08,October,2022,19:41:27 Mileage: 125263km-77835mi IDE03142 Remaining vehicle distance until reducing agent deficiency 15622.00 km IDE03143-ENG57549 Remaining engine starts until reducing agent deficiency-Bits 0-7 25 IDE03144 Used reducing agent since last service 165575.847 g ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday,17,October,2022,19:02:53 Mileage: 125481km-77970mi IDE03142 Remaining vehicle distance until reducing agent deficiency 15335.75 km IDE03143-ENG57549 Remaining engine starts until reducing agent deficiency-Bits 0-7 25 IDE03144 Used reducing agent since last service 165753.154 g IDE06254-ENG57549 Status of a reducing agent warning-Bits 0-7 0 IDE10031 Sensor for reducing agent fill level: fill level height 137 mm IDE10032 Reducing agent quality sensor: urea concentration 399.99 % IDE10039 Reducing agent quality sensor: validity 1 IDE10246 Reducing agent tank volume: act. value filtered 17858 ml IDE10247 Reducing agent tank volume: act. value calculated 17.80 l IDE10879 Sensor for reducing agent fill level: calibrated 71.18 % ----------------------------------------------------------------------- So for my vehicle, the AdBlue distance until deficiency drops at half the rate of actual mileage covered I think I might do as others have suggested and ask the VAG specialist I go to for the next top up in approx. 14000k miles which will mean I shouldn't run it down the low low warning.

These posts are great, and I'm following with interest but I can't help think they should all be in the same thread 😄

Adblue fault no restart after 650miles, Error codes P20BC,P20E8
jdragon replied to Doctor786's topic in Audi A4 (B9) Forum
Welcome to the forum. When you first had the message 4 months ago, did you topup the adblue or continue to use the car. If you topped it up, how much did you put in?x -
I've pulled the filter from every car I've had to check, regardless of what the service history says. Finding a housing full of debris like that has not been unusual sadly. Great share on the "how to" 😀

Audi A3 2010 1.6 Diesel - Coil light flashing once again
jdragon replied to Danmards's topic in Audi Servicing and Repairs
Sure, but you've changed the MAF sensor and still have a problem. Coil light typically indicates glow plugs. If you have/know anyone with a multimeter it's a 10 minute job to check them. -
You'd need to check the battery Amps
-
It was worth a try 🙂 The reason I suggested is that when my friends A3 (2011 model) was ready to be replaced pretty much every light came on in the car as a result, even after replacing the battery. The local garage did a manual reset and everything was OK after. Seems very strange VCDS won't communicate with the car. I'd start a thread about that and post a scan (if you have one) on the Ross-tech forums to see what feedback you can get. Have you checked the alternator? Perhaps taking the car to an auto electrician is the next step?

Glow plugs? -
Google "how to reset audi ecu" There are several ways, I wouldn't like to suggest one over the other 🙂
-
If the starter is turning well, I'd try manually resetting the ECU 🙂
-
Your approach to loading and safety is worth recognising. You'd get on very well with the guys from the company who manage our airport runs.
-
So I did the drive. Car was loaded with me and three others at around 420kg combined mass, plus short stay luggage in the boot. No handling issues to report 🙂
-
DVLA thought my previous B8 was an automatic 😀
-
Have a look at the thread 8 down in this section.

Had similar in my previous A4 but left it because it didn't make any difference to the AC In your case, it depends which motor has failed. I think there are five, and have varying levels of complexity. I'd also reconsider your "specialist" and look elsewhere based on that assessment.
