  1. Still no joy. Scanned with VCDS and the only dtc's are fuel Filler Flap motor issue and LH rear mid range speaker not working but I was aware of this. Log-HV64LYW-WAUZZZ8K5FA041747-225990km-140423mi.txt
  2. Just replaced the AGM battery last week and coded it. Tried all sorts. Disconnected battery and shorted + and - for 30 mins and reset all the control modules to rule that out. There is only one thing that I have noticed and that is that one of the fuses under the ecm (4th one counting from the centre of the car) has no voltage with the ignition on. Not quite sure what the fuse is for. According to Haynes Pro it is a fuse for the ecm. From memory, I only tried testing for voltage with ignition on, not with engine running. Need to check that but I would have thought that with the ignition on, I should have 12V on all fuses. Wondering is I should try and apply power to that fuse with my power probe and see if that clears the faults. If it does, at least I have something to go on as the diagnostics don't report any related dtc's. My first inclination was that it was caused by a wheel sensor, but that would have flagged up in the diagnostics and I would then also expect to have an abs fault.
  3. Have you changed your brake fluid at all? When I change discs and/or pads, I always clamp the brake hose and open the bleed nipple when I push the pistons back in so I don't push dirty brake fluid back into the system. Are the pistons easy to push back in? Have you checked the pistons for corrosion?
  4. Make sure your brake carrier is clean as well so the pads are not tight and use some brake grease on the contact areas of the pads. Make sure the guide pins are clean and move freely. Use some red rubber grease on the guide pins. Easy to tell if you have a sticking caliper as the disc would most likely overheat. If the outside edge of the discs have an orange colour rather than a brown rusty colour, the disc has got too hot.
  5. Hi all, Got a strange issue where my tpms light and esp light don't go off. Tpms initially blinking, then goes solid. Scanned the car but no faults showing. No abs fault. Checked wheel speed sensors with live data but all registering correctly and showing the same speed. Tyre monitoring greyed out and when I select it, it tells me to switch the ignition on which is on. Adaptive cruise control also not available. Checked every fuse and relay but not a single fuse blown or relay not working. Searched all over the Internet but cannot find this exact issue reported anywhere. Similar ones but they are combined with either steering angle, epb or abs faults which I don't have. Also had a problem with both daytime running lights where a warning would come up for both lights even though they are working. This in the end appeared to be a coding issue in the central electrics causing a low voltage to the lights which I have now corrected. Pulling my hair out with this one, especially as the diagnostics are not flagging up an issue. Obviously, the mmi cannot communicate with the tpms (which I believe is handled by the j519 module).
