  2. Thanks. YouTube has some clips of how to change the intermediate steering shaft. Not a massive job it seems. OEM Replacement shaft is about £400 but non orginaL parts also available. Being a steering component I would need to have confidence in using a non std part. Replacing the 2 bolts also seems wise. Im looking my for a good source for the shaft & 2 bolts.
  3. Thanks. Couldn’t find a power steering reservoir so I think you’re right! Will check battery. I’ve also since read of intermediate steering shaft universal joint issue (seizing) which seems to afflict these cars.

  5. My 2016 Q5 steering has become notchy - feels tight then loosens. Can’t see anything adrift underneath. Anyone felt this please?
