  1. You're right, strictly speaking, it should be coded. I've got an old OBDElevan, can't recall if it was possible using that, so will give that a try. If not then a local mech has vcds, so will give them a shout.

  3. Hi folks - i'm a new member ....promise to not be one of those post-n-run noobs! I recently changed 12v battery on my 2009 facelift model - and the white DRL's no longer light up, although they do still light up orange when indicating. I kept a trickle charge during battery swap too, so nothing was reset. DRL's are enabled in MMI (exterior illumination) also. Any simple things i can rule out ? (i haven't got vagcom)
