Hello guys, I have a thing that is bothering me for a while. So I have an Audi A4 b8.5 3.0 TDI 180kw. After replacing the timing chain set and a lot of other things while the engine was out, I noticed that theres a sound that I think I never heard it before. The sound is kind a hard to describe - it is like puffing, hissing sound. If it was a truck, I would say that air is leaking somewhere 😂 Interesting thing is, that sound is only heard if you stand in front of the front wheels - left and right. If you stand in front of the hood you just hear normal engine idle sound. Car runs perfectly, no problems, no fault codes, no increased fuel consumption etc. Some guys said, that maybe the car wants to do regeneration. https://imgur.com/a/UDCOPJ1 (dont mind the tyres 😂) alongside normal idle you hear the sssssss coming. Trying to figure what is providing this hissing, puffing sound (sssssss) or I’m halucinating and this is normal working sound. Noticed it after full chain replacement and other stuff while the engine was out. Also couldnt tell if it was the same before the service. Best regards,
