  1. The extended warranty does not cover software updates. My Q5 had an Add Blue fault requiring a software update which I had to pay £180 even though the car has an extended warranty if it required a software update to fix a fault the this fault must have been known about
  2. Hi been awhile since I posted. I still have the A7 the problem with it was the return lines from the injectors were not connected, so just dumping fuel over board, it is now a great car. I am now have the latest Q5 which is my fourth one. I has been ok until the last few weeks. At less than 10,000 miles the ignition coil pack failed, replaced under warranty. Yet days ago the engine management light came on again, with an Add Blue fault. This was found to be a software fault requiring updated software which was done, fault cleared. Then came the bomb shell, this is not covered by the warranty so I had to pay £179 . If I have this problem then the all latest Q5s must have it. Why is this not covered by warranty? I have put this to Audi UK as is not the dealers fault Best to all Robert
  3. Hi Dean Looks like the requirement of professional help. Best of look, post if you manage to sort it out Regards Robert
  4. I have had 3 Audi with a HUD. The windscreen must be clean and scratch free both inside and out in the area of the projected info. Dust can get into the projector area . You may want to look at the HUD settings in the MMI but if none of these are the problem then a trip to Audi is called for Regards Robert
  5. I have discovered today from a report this A7 TDI is now banded from sale in USA for cheating on emissions and fuel consumption claims. I wonder if this is correct. Can anyone confirm if this is true or false? Sherlock I wish I had my previous 245 Black Edition back. Robert
  6. I have my A7 which has problems as I have reported on the A7 forum , but also have an Audi Q5 S Line Plus which is wonderful. This is my second Q5 and may look to the new Q5 released next year. Robert
  7. Hi Trevor Today we did a route of just over 40miles on open roads at speeds up to 70mph. My car averaged 27mpg, worse than normal, the previous tank gave just under 32mpg. We the took a brand new car with 67miles on it and this averaged 25 mpg. This was done at Audi UK request. This 272 engine and gearbox combination just does not seem to work. I am so frustrated that the car has to go, but will not replace it with another Audi. I have had nothing but Audi for many years and have a Q5 S Line Plus as well as the A7 What do I do? Regards Robert
  8. dy555395 I have the latest A7 272 S Line. I have high fuel consumption on this car, averaging 30mpg. It started at 22mpg average. My previous 245 averaged 45 mpg with 50-55 mpg on a long run. I was told I had to run this car in for 10000 K/6250miles before it settled down. This I have done. I feel now I am been given the run around. I am convinced the car is faulty. The dealer has been very helpful but Audi UK and or Audi Germany will do nothing to correct this problem. This engine is being used in other models, does anyone else have this problem? Do I now have to seek legal assistance to address this ?

I still have this car the problem was the injector return lines were not connected so it was dumping gallons over board. Now will only 19500 miles on it it returns  up to 50 mpg
