  1. Lynn let me have your mobile # and I'll call you in the morning, its so much easier to guide you thru it, trust me we can get it done verbally. David
  2. Hi Lynn have you had any luck in resolving his problem.
  3. Lynn, if you wish to get in touch on my mobile 07973 502771 I'll guide you thru rather than type it. David
  4. Adrian, I think it depends on how the nail is situated in the tyre. Go to a reputable tyre company and see if they will repair it first.
  5. I have a Q5 with front and back cameras made by Blackvue, cost me around £300 plus wired in locally by a guy in Cranleigh, very good job no wires visible .
  6. YES definitely worth it , I sue the 'Blackvue' DR650GW which comes with both front and back cameras, also hardwired into ignition, done by a guy down in Surrey so no wires showing and those that are, are very discreet. no problem, would recommend him every time.
  7. Hi I use SHELL normal fuel and about twice a year I buy the AD-Blue from a SHELL station and insert the bottle head into the special inlet next to the normal Diesel inlet no problem.
  8. Jay, just a point, my electrical guy fitted it to somewhere just behind the ignition and as the ignition is activated it makes the camera live, so nothing to do with the Fuse box. David
  9. Jay, what is your vehicle plate, I have a 2014 Q5 and my dealers here in G'Ford said go ahead, I think my whole set cost approx. £300 and well worth it, bearing in mind the cost of the vehicle.
  10. HIya Jay I currently use a 'Blackvue' which covers both front and back and have no problems, I used the services of a Guy in Cranleigh, Surrey to wire mine in very discreetly and they both operate on ignition. if interested I'll give you there details. David of Guildford

Trevor, Thanks it has been noticed on a few occasions, even up here in Surrey. a Firm in Parkstone, Dorset did it for me an excellent job. Regards David
  13. Speaking as one Dave to another, I have only been a Q5 owner since Jan 2nd and am more than happy with my 14 plate car. However bearing mind your question, from where did you purchase it ? if from an Audi dealer, I would take it straight back and have a blast at them for even allowing it out , if from another reputable source then the same kind of response. But I think you'll need to approach your local dealership to get things corrected. Hope you have some success David from Guildford
  14. James, that is news to me, but having said that I notice that if I can get to grips with it, there is the 'MyAudi' link that somehow deals with this possibly that may be the way around things, I am still learning the intraces of their on-board computer system. Have you any experience of this link to MyAudi.. David
  15. Hi there, I have just bought my first Q5 today and asked the Audi dealers the same question, as my existing car uses a Garmin. The dealers said that the only updates are done approx. every 6 mths at their premises, during a service schedule. I thought this was a bit strange, more like a closed shop scenario. I must admit it would be great to find an alternative method. Regards David of Guildford
  16. Hi Folks, I am in the process of buying my first Audi and have chosen the Q5 S line plus. My local dealer here in Guildford is part of the Lookers Group. They have a 2013 plated Q5 with 39k miles from 2 owners. Am I allowed to get in touch with the last owner to clarify why the mileage is relatively high in recent months or is that NOT the thing to do. All the service boxes are ticked and the car looks in good nick, but the mileage just seems high for a 3yr old car.

What is the best choice on this matter.

    Thanks in advance David

David - what sort of mileage are we talking? I'm assuming the price reflects this? Usually from an Audi dealer it should have had a fairly comprehensive check up before being advertised for sale.

James, Thanks for coming back to me, it's showing 39500 or pretty close, car first registered  in March 2013, so apparently still under Audi warranty till march 2016, and the dealer is saying they will give a year  from  purchase, having never dealt with Audi before can I take these as gospel.  I am happy with the Q5 overall but the wife is cautious about the  mileage. Any other things I should consider that I may or may not have mentioned would be helpful.

      David
