  1. HI Mark welcome :) To be honest with the DPF removed and remap it will probably drive better and potentially have less issues but yes as you stated it will now be an MOT failure so it depends if you want to run the risk. A lot of cars that have had their DPF's removed have had it done so as to make it look as if it is still there but as you say it could still be a risk so up to you.
  2. Hi and welcome. What year is your Q7?
  3. May be worth checking all the sensors to see if it is an electrical fault?
  4. Hi and welcome to the club! :) Nice looking A3!
  5. Hi Russell welcome to the club! :) Nice looking A6!
  6. Yes let us know how you get on! :)
  7. Hi and welcome to the club! Try leaving the radio switched on for one hour. Sometimes if they are in safe mode this can do the trick!
  8. It may be that the clips are broken and simply need replacing although difficult to say without looking at it?
  9. HI and welcome to the club! :) Sounds like you got lucky with your Alfa having no problems in 90k miles. They're lovely cars it's just a shame about their reputation for reliability etc. I would get the cambelt done and I wouldn't worry about Audi say. Manufacturers these days set the limit sky high to appeal to fleet buyers early on. Normally Audi's are fairly good with regards to corrosion so a good quality repair should last. Audio is fairly easy to change as long as you have the right leads and adaptors etc
  10. A gear oil change may be a good place to start and maybe the brake fluid as this is used to operate the clutch too.
  11. Yes I would imagine it would require someone with the relevant Audi software and cable. When you're on the phone does the volume adjust with the control on radio?
  12. HI welcome to the club! :) Get some photos up when you can!
  13. I reckon it will still get better over the next few thousand miles for you guys. However, as you say using all the heater/lights/wipers etc and the low temperatures over winter don't help plus as you said it's town driving not motorway.
  14. Is it the factory fitted system? If so it sounds like it could just need reprogramming or something?
  15. It's definitely possible but to be honest it would probably be very expensive. Could be simpler to sell up and buy a TFSI but depends if you want the fun of building it yourself I guess! :D
  16. Sounds like a good result Mick. Stick some pictures up when you get it :)
  17. If it's cranking then it sounds like the batter is connected fine etc. Sounds like a possible immobiliser issue to me. An immobiliser would still let the engine turn over but it would prevent it from actually starting.
  18. What sort of consumption are you getting and is it petrol or diesel?
  19. Good news Alan glad you have got it sorted! :)
  20. Not heard of this being done before. Would be interested to hear if you manager to get this sorted!
  21. Hi welcome to the club! Sounds like a nice pair of Audis you have between you! :D
  22. The all-new Audi A3 Cabriolet has been completely redesigned. Wider, longer, lower - explore its new look in our video, from its sharp, clean flowing lines to a completely new roof mechanism....
  23. Sounds like it could be the compressor. This is a reasonably common fault I believe and apparently there is a rebuild kit available to buy.
  24. The correct spelling is accelerating but don't worry! Firstly, check the wheels and tyres and that's an obvious place to start. Any buckles or deformities etc If not then the multitronic gearbox can be known to cause problems unfortunately. I would take it to an auto gearbox specialist to take a look at it as a replacement will be very expensive.
  25. Sounds like it is just coded wrong. I'm sure an Audi dealer or specialist could plug it in and sort it for you.
