  1. If the TDI has been looked after and serviced properly then it should have plenty of life left in it yet. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for economy overall then the diesel will be a better choice. However, bear in mind that diesel is around 10p per litre more expensive and the car is £1000 more so you need to take into consideration how long you will have the car and how long it will take to recover the extra costs. Most people seem to think that you need to do around 12000 miles per year or more to benefit from having a diesel once you have taken into account the (generally) increased cost of buying one and the extra 10p per litre on fuel. Let us know what you decide to do :)
  2. Hi Andy welcome to the club by the way! :)
  3. I know Audi's that run long life oil and service schedules are actually meant to burn off a little oil so that fresh oil is gradually added but definitely not that much. Have they agreed to pay the labour too?
  4. Have you checked the fuse first of all for the rear wiper? If not I would expect it to be the motor itself. With regards to the labour costs I would think £80 is going to be around 1 hours labour for a specialist so possibly not that high. May be worth asking them what the quoted time is?
  5. I'd take the more powerful lower mileage one and get the work done if you can budget for it. At least that way you know it has all be sorted.
  6. I would think that would be the date the belt had been manufactured rather than fitted but it's fairly recent anyway so it should have been fitted after that which is good! Good find!
  7. Can't see the picture?
  8. I have used a bit of garden string on badger before believe it or not. Works a treat to get behind the badge and break the adhesive. I then used Autoglym Intensive Tar remover to get the rest of the stick stuff off.
  9. Hi and welcome to the club! :)
  10. Hi Steve welcome to the club! :) Yes fingers crossed the weather picks up soon so you can enjoy it. I'm definitely getting fed up with it! :(
  11. Not sure what it does but have you asked Audi for a price? May not be as bad as you think?
  12. Have you already purchased the spoiler?
  13. Hi JZ welcome to the club! That's not a great start to ownership glad you were ok though! Not heard of any other such incidents. What did Audi have to say about this?
  14. Hi and welcome to the club! Sorry I can't help on that problem but hopefully one of our other members can point you in the right direction! :)
  15. You could use a second hand cluster but I believe your mileage would be wrong? Failing that I would imagine it could be sent off for repair. Bit of a paint though
  16. No worries! :)
  17. May well be worthwhile just to find out for sure. I would be interested to see how accurate the Torque app was in comparison!
  18. Did you get the tyres from your 17 inch wheels or the new wheels come with tyres?
  19. Saw this site on the web the other day not sure if it's any good but it claims to clean up turbo vains: http://cleanmyengine.com/ Your car should be good for in the region of 175-180bhp with a straight forward map :)
  20. Not 100% sure on this to be honest. A bit of a strange one. My guess would be at a bad earth somewhere or something along those lines. Hopefully someone else will be able to put you on the right track.
  21. Hi Sally welcome to the club! :) Hope you get your wipers sorted.
  22. Check the fuse box and see if you have a fuse in place for heated seats. Could be a give away?
  23. There's some on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Audi-R8-2012-V10-Alloy-wheels-Only-Piano-Black-Finish-/181287515601?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item2a3593f5d1
  24. Hi Lloyd welcome to the club! Looking forward to seeing the results of your mods!
