  1. MOT'ed for 12 months and being delivered on Saturday as an early birthday present for my fiancee. Can't really complain at £1500 but she is definitely going to inflict some damage on me
  2. Well, the TT isn't pristine but all the paperwork was present with 18 stamps in the book, a new hood and she drove perfectly. Left a deposit on the basis that they get a new MOT :)
  3. Will do, must get some pics of my A8 up at some stage too ;)
  4. That's my thought too so will hopefully go and see it on Saturday ;)
  5. My other half doesn't drive huge distances so I was thinking that as she's always wanted one it might be a good idea to fulfil that dream. Any way, I've come across a cheap mk1 with high motorway miles but fsh (18 stamps) new roof, roof motor etc, cam-belt + waterpump. Would it be worth taking the gamble given that it's not huge sums of money?
  6. Well I'm happy enough with my 54 plate 4.0 TDi. Worth checking the relay for the compressor as a new relay is £15 (or thereabouts) and a new compressor is a lot, lot more.
  7. They were snowed under and the bill is very reasonable in all fairness too :) Picking her up in a couple of hours and looking forward to it, the other half's Peugeot 207 just isn't the same...
  8. Still waiting for her to be ready :( On Friday I was told Monday, on Monday I was told today and today I have been told tomorrow. Now I'm starting to worry about t he size of the bill too.
  9. It would but that's the peril of buying a car that's a few years old I guess. Still, once it's done then (fingers crossed) there won't be any more major issues ;)
  10. Local VAG specialist thankfully as a compressor direct from Audi would be £1250 on its own.
  11. I will get around to pics soon but she's been off the road for the last week after a faulty relay caused the compressor to run non-stop so that's all being replaced in the next few days.
  12. For some reason my A8 doesn't have a cup holder in the front, just storage under the flap. If anyone has one at a fair price then please let me know.
  13. It's certainly a lot of fun
  14. I'll get some pics at the weekend but she's silver with black leather interior and the V8 4.0 TDi
  15. Morning All :) Having had an A6 in the past I decided that I should follow a similar route this time around, although this time I seem to have gone for an A8 instead. I'm certainly happy as can be so far although I'm still working my way through the manual (and using trial and error) to get to grips with everything.
