  1. Thanks Michael. 2 pointers which may help:- Register your ‘want’ with on-line car breaker link sites such as Partsfinder - there are more. You will obviously need photos before committing to buy. Toothpaste!! Drastic measures are called for - mask around the lights and wet flat the lenses with 800 wet and dry paper, then do the same with 1200. Get ‘rubbing compound’ from your local factors or Halfords and vigorously rub this over the lenses to bring the shine back. Finally polish with car polish. You could try T Cut if you can’t get rubbing compound. Nothing to lose. Kind regards, Gareth.
  2. Welcome Michael, Common problem, so most secondhand can be expected to be similar. Where have you tried so far? Kind regards, Gareth.
  3. I believe so Greg - something like 5 degrees. I do understand your frustration if that is so. Our non-Audi does the same, and you do need to clear them of mist. The 2006 A3 appears to demise them at any temperature, but latest one - probably not, but I could be wrong. Kind regards, Gareth.
  4. Welcome Alan and thanks for joining. Thoughts? Fortunately, all the ‘thoughts’ are there in the posts against this thread, and once read, you should be sufficiently armed to make a decision that suits you. This forum should be a bit like your insurance company - it provides the information which allows you to make your choice, but it does not recommend. I know what decision I’ve come to and I’ll adhere to that. Perhaps you could let us know what you decide Alan. Kind regards, Gareth.
  5. Welcome Anthony and thanks for joining. Without being dismissive of your problem, if you can’t (easily) get under the car to do the preparation, then the only option is to get someone to do it for you. I would start to ask for local recommendations at established valeters. These people will generally know who to go to. In case it helps, I’ve had good reports about an underbody treatment called Lanoguard. Let us know how you get on Anthony. Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. Welcome Peter, At a guess:- The ‘flexy? extension’ pieces maybe associated with headlight adjustment. Pending owners coming forward ( please help Peter folks) you could try LLL Parts website for possibly illustrations. Let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  7. Try LLL Parts website. Maybe too early for them, but….
  8. Have you tried listing your ‘want’ on on-line car breaker link sites such as Partsfinder? There are others.
  9. Hello Peter, Can you please return to the forum to answer the questions you have been asked.
  10. Does indeed look like water pump Donald - if belt driven pump. Kind regards, Gareth.
  11. Welcome Peter. Where have you tried as far? Can we take it you don’t have any headlight units/ glasses/ plastic lenses at the moment, or are you trying to convert LHD to RHD? What is the story here Peter? Kind regards, Gareth.
  12. Please let us have an update following helping you Michael.
  13. Sorry to interject, but I would not have closed this thread as Solved. There are more questions to ask, and more answers required to confirm this is indeed a disc issue. Kind regards, Gareth.
  14. Hello Alex, Possibly/probably water ingress Alex. You wil obviously need to access it to check. Please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  15. Thanks Stason, Penrite - long established supplier of classic car oils. Don’t think their market is aimed at modern vehicles. Am I missing the bit about oil evaporation - especially in closed systems-? Kind regards, Gareth.
  16. How did you get on with your P in M quotes Michael?
  17. Welcome Gary, Whatever it’s called, it will be a main dealer only part, so best nip it along to your nearest and ask the Parts chap to order you one. Kind regards, Gareth.
  18. Thanks Steve, but as I understand it, Peter’s is barely a year ‘out of date’. Kind regards, Gareth.
  19. Welcome, You could do worse than Brembo if you are not going to use genuine Audi.
  20. Thanks Peter, I wouldn’t have thought there was that much really major building plans going on in the last two years, but….. County lanes! No different to our (supposedly prestigious marque) then! Country lanes, then it gets lost itself, and you end up in circles!
  21. Welcome, and thanks Peter. Why would this months-old car need updating?
  22. Let us know how you get on Craig.
  23. Tried the on-line car breaker link sites such as Partsfinder? - there are more.
  24. Thanks Craig. Could you let us know where you have unsuccessfully tried so far? Take it manual?? Kind regards, Gareth.
