Steering wheel amber light
Possibly related to your other topic regarding the radio. Also please confirm you have had the new battery coded to the car.

Extra lead on positive battery cable
A decent photo might help in identification.

Electrical static popping
The extent of my electrical testing knowledge is to wriggle all the connections. Beyond that I can not help. Perhaps one of the wires you discarded as irrelevent is actually relevent after all.
-
Another Recall
As a driver of an electric pocket rocket I agree completely, yet most drivers of petrol cars are happy to sit on 12 gallon tanks of explosive fuel without a care in the world.

Hesitant accelerator and gearshift holding
Ken. I don't know what the problem is, but a problem definitely exists judging by the behaviour you describe. If your Audi dealer can not, or will not, solve it I suggest you take it elsewhere before the guarantee expires, and notify the vendor that he will be charged for the repair.

What's the future, is there a future for my 2001 Quattro?
Maybe so, but sentimental liking for a car does not increase its resale value. Having said that, perhaps Peter is not asking about its value. In fact it is not clear to me exactly what he is asking.

Electrical static popping
Did that include all earth connections?

Driver wing
Peter. It looks like you have pressed your CapsLock key. Please release it before responding again.

Another Recall
The possibilty of an insulation fault on a 400 volt battery is worrying. I hope all is well.

s1 washer jets headlights
If the jets have ball mountings you can move them with a pin in the nozzle.

Loss of coolant
Undoubtedly. It is both stupid and mean not to change the belt while it is accessible.

Airbag module info
I recall reports here of frequent damage to the module under the passenger seat, though I uncertain which Audi model was involved. Search the forum history to learn more.

What's the future, is there a future for my 2001 Quattro?
As a 23 year old, scratched & dented, sun burnt car with damaged rear seat I reckon its resale value as a working car is just about zero. You would be better off dismantling it and selling any useful parts on Ebay, though that would leave a large heap of scrap metal to be got rid of.

Electrical static popping
Have you checked for the most obvious cause: a loose wire or connection shorting out?
-
Knocking when turning at low speed
Good. Please let us know the outcome.

Another Recall
What "thing" in particular, or weren't you told?

MOT Failure Emissions Brakes and Lights with solutions
Top marks for ingenuity. I have to suspect the brake test at your testing station if it can not cope with different vehicle weights. Would it fail the brakes on a really light car I wonder? As for the EGR, without it for so long soot is bound to accumulate in the exhaust. The better solution is not to blow it out at high revs, but to burn it out by initiating high temperature regeneration, which the ECU normally takes care of but which I believe can also be done from a decent code reader.

Audi s3 2014 Engine start issues
Did you get the new battery coded to the car? It's essential to do so.
-
Driver wing
So it's not immaculate as you first claimed. All the more reason to get anything that fits and have it painted to suit. Any half decent body shop should be able to match the paint.

2012 Audi A3 Rearview Mirror/Rain Sensor
My guess is that the mirror has been changed for a housing not designed for the rain sensor.
-
Mechatronic Removal
Whom have you asked to take on the job? Forget about official Audi dealers, go for an independant VAG garage or a gearbox specialist.
-
Looking for an Audi A8 specialist
I suggest an independant Audi specialist rather than a Audi dealer. An internet search showed several near Wolverhampton.

Alarm
If I recall correctly if you lock the car manually with the key instead of electronically with the fob, the alarm does not set. On the other hand it has been three years since I sold my A3 so memory may be letting me down. It does all too frequently of late.

Subframe corrosion
I am surprised it was not spotted when the torsion bar was renewed.
-
No lights / indicator / seatbelt chime
What's the point? Unless you solve the root cause of the problem it is likely to keep throwing up other faults and error messages.
