Hi all need some help 

I was driving and car suddenly cut out throwing traction control light and headlight leveling light pulled over to the side and put in to P and tried to start it back up but no crank,

Had it plugged in and its coming up as no communication with pcm

Does this sound like water has gotten in to my ecu? Has anyone else had this problem

What did you replace 

Are there any fuses for the ecu?

Also when ignition on after a few seconds the radiator fan comes on

Update:

Changed oil and filter for the box and when I started car to get the temp after 30mins temp only reached 25deg that's with me revving and going through gears,

I have a feeling the oil pump has gone on it, as I feel it's not being pumped around the gearbox.

Hi had a look at the plug today the side going in to the neutral switch looks fine but the side that goes in to the cars body looks very bad on oneside, is there anyway to remove the plug and replace it

Cheers will keep you updated going to have a look at the wiring tomorrow and also change the oil

Cheers any way to check that it is faulty any test I can do?

Hi guys help needed please don't know where to start.

Car lost drive had a scanner put on and it comes with p0721 output sensor and p072a stuck in neutral 

When I select R or D there is no load like there's no engagement of the torque converter,

Has anyone else had this situation happen to them and if so how did you rectify the problem

Basically i have had to drill it out but have tryed to rethread it and put in threadlock but when i have come to tighten the pulley its fallen off again il post a pic 

Hi i tryed drilling out the bolt but no luck what would happen if the idler pulley was left off cheers

Hi would any b7 slam panel fit the cab or is the cab differnt to saloon i have been told the bumpers are okay to and will fit 

sorted it cheers lads previous owner used cheap alternator fixed by replacing with valeo cheers

Hi anyone knows why I'm getting 0.00v for generator specified mvb in pic With other readings

also getting interface to generator no communication fault code

plug has one pin alternator has 2pins 

measured volts and its 9.8 volts in wire

i have been trying to get this problem sorted out on my a6 

on the alternator there is a plug it has 2.pins in the.alternator but the plug from the that plugs in only has one light blue wire is this correct i will try and post a pic of them both cheers

volts on voltmeter are around 13.4 13.8 

This is what I getting trying to access 53 parking brake 

Does this help anyone as current value from battery is jumping from 20.2 to 30a

Hii all I need help with my parking brake connected to vcds 53-parking brake module no communication I cannot open the installed module also in abs brakes module it throws up 00473 control module for elec.park/handbrake j540 no signal/communication

also tried new module still the same

all help appreciated

previous owner did replace alternator but how do i test the alternator output

hi guys i have 02254 interface to generator no signal intermittent and 02479 partial consumer shut off active

anyone ever had these codes and can shed any light on whats causing this 

car starts ok drives fine

o okay because previous owner replaced alternator and said after he did the traction control light comes on after 10mins or so 

euro car parts sell 12v and 14v alternators cheers

hi all seems you can get 12v alternatora and 14v alternators anyone know which is the correct one

i was hoping to sort it myself i have had it scanned and it is coming up with epb no signal/communication

hi all i have the common handbrake fault 

codes read as parking brake module no signal/communication

to put handbrake on i have to switch car off and then hold up the handbrake button for it to work 

while car is started handbrake will only be disengaged 

to engage handbrake i have to switch off car and hold up handbrake

also after driving 10mins i get the traction light on are these 2 connected
