Alright everyone. I have a 1.8T, petrol, A6 from 2000. Drives nice, sound car but...I believe the turbo is dead. When in 4th, there's pull, im doing 50mph and 2500 revs - I go into 5th and I'm on 2000 revs at 50mph. Surely that isn't normal for a 1.8T? I bought a code reader, see if a sensor or anything would show....no codes, nothing. So now I'm stuck, a recon 1 is £500, then there would be calibration....the car cost me 450, I do like it but I do some long hauls on the motorway so climbing up to 70mph is easy because the car can pull, but I'm then doing, in 5th gear at 70mph....almost 4000 revs. Any advice is massively appreciated.

So I took my motor in for a tyre change, both front. I drove away only to have the car beeping at me and the red exclamation mark on the dash. I pressed one of the black thing's down on the dash and it said "check brake fluid, check hydraulic fluid" - plenty of both....so I am lost lol. Any idea what this could be or what has caused it? Cheers for any help!

Hello to all. Dropped the Mrs off at the train station, driving back and my EPC light came on. Drove about 300ft more, throttle stopped working. Was on a hill round the corner from mine so I rolled home. Left it for 20 mins, had a Google, started it back up and got into 3rd gear - throttle stopped (EPC light was still on). Had a look around, online through forums etc, a lot of folks are saying its the throttle position sensor, its dead and needs replacing. My diagnostic port isn't visible, maybe pushed up under the dash, may have been removed but I can't use the reader. Gonna ring Audi tomorrow, get an idea of what I can do regards the port and the issue with the throttle. Any help/guidance is massively appreciated, cheers.

Hello to all. 2 windows are giving me some grief, passenger window goes down but wont go up. Mechanism makes noise but wont go up, and I can physically push it up. I took the door apart to investigate. So I'm not too sure what is or could be broken there? Drivers side, this is weird. Was working fine, then the other day I tried to send it up - it went up then stopped, went back down - then I tried and it moved slightly upward, then back down. Any ideas why that window is irritating me?! As always, thank you for any help!

Thanks for replying Trevor, but the plug isn't in the socket that it should be. Going to take the lower dash apart tomorrow and see where it is.

Hello all. I recently purchased a used A6, drives really well but the EPC light has come on but the dash display is fairly useless so I can't see the errors. I went looking for the diagnostic port, as I believe my C310 code reader may fit but there's no damn plug. I'm looking in the right place, having had a good Google it also looks like it housed it and its not even there! Is there another OBD port? What can I do if there isn't a diagnostic plug? Thanks for any help!
