  5. Hi Steve Put me down as well please. Note: 13th is a Saturday? Go on the Sunday and you will only enjoy the car boot sale.
  6. Morning Raz I have had a look and found these part numbers 8L3 853 959A Left side 8L3 853 960A Right side I use 7ZAP.com. Have a look on there as you know your car in better detail Cheers m8
  7. yep that is the one. you can see that the Blue Audi parked up is Robs and we are standing on the left had side of the picture enjoying our drinks (except Mrs F) who left hers behind
  8. Pleasure Steve When we meet at Beaulieu we can discuss future events. Has the owners club been to the Mini assembly line in Oxford? Always a good visit.
  9. Thanks steve I noticed Rob had an Audi owners club sticker on the side of his car. Do you have any more?
  10. No we were all safe in the car park. The fire was the other end of the building. Rob said had they closed the oven door the fire would of put itself out.
  11. We duly met at Surry Rolling Road at 10.15 ready to find out what each car was capable of. Line up was:- A3 Sline 170Hp 2011 A3 Sline 170Hp 2011 with remap S4 With Remap. When we arrived and went inside to see what was going on there was a BMW M5 about to run up. This produced an impressive 630Hp. Once this car was driven off the set up was changed to suit 4 wheel drive cars. First up was Rob in his A3 Sline 170Hp 2011. This pictures below show the result. A good readout for a 6 year old car showing it had not lost any power and the torque peaked at 290 Ftlb at 2300 rpm Next up was mine. A3 Sline 170Hp 2011 with remap. The result was an increase of about 30Hp to 199.7 and torque peaked at 340ftlb at 2300rpm So for a basic remap costing £200 Finally the S4 B6 was set up and run through its paces. This car has had a remap and the owner was interested to see what he has, power wise. Engine is the V8 4.2Lite engine As can be seen below the result was 332Hp and Torque was 312 ftlb at 3500rpm Thanks to Charlie at Surrey Rolling Road who helped make this happen. They regularly run £40 Saturdays so always worth a look if you want to check your car out. Once this was finished we decided to retire to the local pub for a drink and chat about the results, thinking the action of the day had finished the S4 owner departed leaving myself, my wife the good Mrs F, and Rob. Suddenly the manager of the day came running out of the kitchen with the fire alarms going and we were evacuated to the local car park. It turns out the Pork belly had decided to catch fire in the oven and the chef opened the door but did not shut it allowing more oxygen in to get the fire really going. Within minutes 4 fire appeared and the fire was successfully extinguished. Unfortunately we were unable to leave as the cars were blocked in for about an hour while the fire was put out. A couple of lessons to learn here · Take your class of wine with you (Mrs F) when evacuating · Have a tab running. We were not allowed back in as the pub was closed for the rest of the day and all bar bills were cleared. An eventful end to a good morning. See you all at Beaulieu Graham
  12. Cheers steve I will post a write up tomorrow with some pictures. A good day, with an eventful ending all will become clear tomorrow.

  15. Thanks Steve. it was something I wanted to do anyway.
  16. Yes hope it is not too expensive. Not a problem about the Session, I confirmed this morning that there would only be 2 of us.
  17. Cheers Steve All help appreciated. At £40 a time I think it is good value. I will do a write up about it and perhaps a short video of the S4 going through its paces.
  18. Hi All Still got 2 places spare for the Rolling Road session on January 13 at 10.30am Location is Surrey Rolling road. 34 Invincible Rd, Farnborough GU14 7QU. The facility covers 4 wheel drive as well. It would be nice to have 4 cars turning up.
  19. Hi Jack welcome to the forum. A good friendly bunch of people here and as you can already see, quick to pass on info. If you are interested in meets/socials keep an eye out on the southern area meetings, there is also a new event in April for Audi's at beaulieu, a good chance to meet people from the forum.
  20. Hi Michael I had this problem on one of my windows when I had a 55 reg A3. The only way I could shut the window was to hold down the key to lock the doors. On my A3 after 5 secs the windows would all shut when locking the car or all open when unlocking, it might be worth a try on this occasion, after that my window issue disappeared.
