  1. I have the washers, they are a nuisance, I keep meaning to get them disabled!! :D Sometimes they can stick if I remember correctly. Mine only work if you double tap the stalk, so once and then again real quick. :D
  2. Welcome to the forum! I once hit 90mph in my metro (on a track)...me and the passenger could barely talk over being shaken to death! :D
  3. I hate the wait for a new car but having to wait for one to be shipped must be twice as bad! :D
  4. Welcome to the forum, I don't know why but for a second I struggled to think what kind of equipment carrots were for horses...
  5. Welcome to the forum, nice car! Grey is the best in my opinion as well, look forward to pics!
  6. Welcome to the Forum, I am sure someone with a lot more know how than me will be along shortly. As far as I am aware there are not many common faults on Audis, except theri emissions seem suspect....
  7. Ouch...welcome to the forum. Cannot really help you as I know nothing about that. But £9k for a 7 year old car seems a lot, looks like they don't want to do it so pricing the job out in my opinion!
  8. Welcome to the forums!
  9. Welcome to the forums, looks like Trevor has you covered!
  10. I also read about the chain stretch but it seems to be such a rare problem that you only hear about the 1 or 2 that do happen. As far as servicing is concerned if you have a decent independant mechanic you know then it is what they charge for the job. For context I had a quote from Audi dealer Robinsons for the full works service, when I first got my 3.2, at around £540, my usual mechanic did it for £160 but that was mainly a standard service with no whistles and bells like Audi would probably throw in. Mileage was 79k when i got mine, its at 84k now as I do so few miles in it second car and all that and I paid £5k for it with full service history and paperwork for all jobs done. As with most Audis its lasting well and I don't regret buying it as a stand in car. In the end it depends what you want to do with it, it is not very modifiable if you want additional power. The stereo is pre smart phone and will probably cost to change from single din to double to get a lovely new stereo sat nav etc unit. Small niggles however if you are not worried about power or you are not an audiophile. All in all it's a great cruiser and works well for me.
  11. Thanks for letting me know, seems it's a common fault. Time to get the sealant out!
  12. I had the REVO stage 1 as it was on sale before xmas seemed to do ok with it. I had heard the new GTi was not all that but it had a lot of ground to cover over the old one and the otehr hot hatches. My friend had the 1.9 and I drove it a few times, damn that thing was low to the ground! But it cornered real well round the country roads!!
  13. They really need to stop calling it emissions tests as they cannot hide behind being good for the environment anymore!

  15. Welcome to the forums, a stage 1 re map is a must, to help with the fuel economy and maybe get the software up to date, thats what I told my wife... How was the GTi? I had driven teh older 205 and it was a blast, whats the new one like?
  16. Will have to have a good look at it, so much to spend on the car I don't know where to start. Alloy refurb, performance mods, stereo ro damn good valet!
