  1. they look nice Steve and a bargain at that
  2. basically, don't fit a BOV and blank the recirc valve and you get chatter
  3. +1 on the stainless 'zaust for a good sound. if you want chatter then you dont have a BOV, you need to know whether or not your turbo can handle that before going down that route though
  4. my car is on the recall list and is NOT having it done! if it was a legal requirement i'd have had it done before the remap and EGR/DPF delete
  5. welcome, i love the A7!
  6. yes i'll display it. i'll get the resin wax out to hide some of its (or my) sins LOL
  7. are you sure you can't activate the hidden menu? i could have done it for you but you're a way off
  8. i might treat the old girl to some diesel, she's not had any on almost 10k now. not sure i can fave people there with the stink from my exhaust lol. was funny the other day thouhg, was an add for Shell V-Power on the radio. i said to my lad, i use V power in this don't i, he said do you? (looking at me gone out), i said yeah, Veg Power hahahaha. apparently the only funny thing i've said in around 5 years.
  9. we could always meet at donny services .
  10. when you search for it it isnt there? haha sorry, i don't know. the phone bit is usually for the physical phone in the arm rest, bluetooth as another optional extra what grinds my gears is that the media interface wasn't chosen on mine, so i can connect my phone via bluetooth for calls (very good quality) but have to use the AUX cable for music
  11. i don't press anything in the car. i just searched on my phone and its comes up with Audi UHV. my phones now paired and connects automatically. you sure its got bluetooth?
  12. usually yes, but one that is rated for stop/start costs a lot more, from what i can see
  13. seeing as it's the SE i'm assuming the wheels are smaller than mine. however, a full size alloy for my S Line will not fit in the boot well, the space saver does though, obviously.
  14. the DMF is the flywheel. i don't think a rattly DMF goes when warm although i could be wrong
  15. Hi mate. what makes you think it is the DMF? the rattle could be anything, diesels are lumpy when cold so if it goes when warmed it could just be a vibration rattle. However, they are expensive to have done. so one way or another you need to either be sure it isn't, or sure the warranty will cover it. After the first year its anyone's game?
  16. Will do. and yes a good battery is worth the extra dosh, looking at around £250 !!
  17. hmm, batteries aint cheap! but then considering its stop/start you could be on to something. i need to borrow a volt meter as i dont have on and see what the battery is looking like both off and under load. i'll also get the hidden battery indicator in MMi later to see how it is looking in there.
  18. i don't think my car is worthy of a display, unless people want to see a modern CR running on used cooking oil hahaha. i'll get the ticket bought when i get paid, skint right now!
  19. The fuel cap does not lock btw which i can live with , i'm not sure what short to ground means though, would that cause potential battery drain?
  20. So last week i got the dreaded MIL, car still drove perfectly fine. Before i start a google session on them i thought i'd post them up on here to see if anyone has come across them before: These all came under "Engine malfunction" 3 Faults Found: 5368 - Relay for Low Heater Output P302C 00 [047] - Short to Ground Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Mileage: 243865 km Date: 2017.02.24 Time: 11:58:17 Engine speed: 0.00 /min Normed load value: 0.0 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 29 °C Intake air temperature: 13 °C Ambient air pressure: 1000 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 11.740 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Electric auxiliary heater: shut-off conditions-Bit 0: 00000000 Electric auxiliary heater: shut-off conditions-Bit 8: 00000000 Electric auxiliary heater: relay activation-Bit 0: 00000000 Preheat time: 0 ms Glow status-Bit 0: 00000000 Glow status-Bit 8: 00000000 Ambient temperature: 3.7 °C Fuel temperature: 29.2 °C Eng Da ti Eng Off CAN: 0 s 5380 - Valve for Air Filter Bypass Flap (N275) P1016 00 [047] - Open Circuit Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Mileage: 243865 km Date: 2017.02.24 Time: 11:58:16 Engine speed: 0.00 /min Normed load value: 0.0 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 29 °C Intake air temperature: 13 °C Ambient air pressure: 1000 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 11.720 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Air mass: specified value: 799.5 mg/stroke Coolant temperature at radiator outlet: actual value: 14.1 °C Ct T t Diff Radiator: -273.1 °C Ambient temperature: 3.7 °C Coolant fan 2: activation: 0.00 % Coolant fan 1: activation: 10.20 % Fuel temperature: 29.2 °C 7859 - Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1) P2015 00 [168] - Implausible Signal MIL ON - Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 25 Mileage: 249912 km Date: 2017.05.04 Time: 08:55:32 Engine speed: 0.00 /min Normed load value: 0.0 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 72 °C Intake air temperature: 15 °C Ambient air pressure: 1010 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 13.220 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Actual air mass: 0.0 mg/stroke Intake manifold Runner Control (IMRC): activation: 100.00 % Intake manifold Runner Control (IMRC): acknowledgment: 100.55 % V Sw Vlv r Drft Clsd mp: 2.82 % V Sw Vlv r Drft Opn mp: 11.93 % V Sw Vlv st Mon-Bit 0: 00000000 V Sw Vlv st Mon-Bit 16: 00000000 V Sw Vlv st Mon-Bit 24: 00110111 V Sw Vlv st Mon-Bit 8: 00000010 V Sw Vlv u Raw: 0.0 mV Readiness: 1 1 0 0 1 And this one under "Address 05: Acc/Start Auth" 1 Fault Found: 00446 - Function Limitation due to Under-Voltage 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00100010 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 2 Reset counter: 209 Mileage: 246421 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2017.03.29 Time: 23:19:39 and finally these: Address 53: Parking Brake (J540) Labels: 8K0-907-801-V1.clb Part No SW: 8K0 907 801 H HW: 8K0 907 801 H Component: EPB Audi B8 H09 0090 Revision: 00000003 Serial number: 10000000258090 Shop #: WSC 00000 000 00000 VCID: 3463E4EA9773BAE13D-8060 1 Fault Found: 00532 - Supply Voltage B+ 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00100010 Fault Priority: 1 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 108 Mileage: 246421 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2017.03.29 Time: 23:20:35 Freeze Frame: Voltage: 8.30 V Count: 44 Speed: 0.0 km/h Hex Value: 0x0163 Hex Value: 0x0008 Address 46: Central Conv. 21. one word, emissions..... i would say you would be lucky to get much better MPG from it. modern diesels aren't built for economy anymore, they are built to please the lefites,
  22. If it's for drag get a 1.9tdi (PD) and go all out on that instead. Everyone tunes 1.8t's
  23. Welcome fella
  24. It will be fine. It's only when you start fitting turbos, cams, injectors etc you need to do the remap at the same time
