Drive shaft replacement
what car? the last vag one i swapped was on a 1.9tdi ASV and there was a bunch of Allen Key bolts securing it to the gear box and a massive nut at the hub end. easy job and not many tools required (sockets, allen key sockets, lump hammer. to be fair its the same process for most cars. i drained the oil in fear from the previous time i did it and dumped litres of the smelly stuff all over my drive! not required on most VAGs i believe but i'd check before you start

Steering vibration / judder at low speeds
I have this exact problem on my tdi. I'm putting it down to either a belt or low fluid. Those would be my starting points. However. As you have warranty your best bet would be take it in and see what they have to say

Sweeping indicators on 2017 S3
I think it might be matrix led headlamps that adds this.

Sweeping indicators on 2017 S3
No. There is an option and I can't for the life of me remember what it is that adds the sweeping indicators.

2006 A3 1.6. No oil pressure warning light.
It will deffo have a light. And it should illuminate regardless and will only go out if it gets the correct signal. You usally have an oil level sensor down low and a pressure censor on or near the oil filter (if the oil filter is one up top) or to the side of the engine (if the filter is one down low) im on my phone so can't see, where are you based. I would go down the vcds route to check the status. Also , you could ring TPS, get a quote for a new sensor and also ask them where it is, they have full part schematics available so you can check wiring.

1.9 tdi turbo keeps cutting out
does the car still drive at all when it cuts out, even with no guts? if so go with Trevor's suggestion... remove the EGR pipe from the manifold, get a can of mr muscle and a length of 3/4mm tube. put the tube in the nozzle , put the other end of the tube into the manifold and work it down towards the turbo. spray the mr muscle in, loads of it and pump the actuator. if it feels hard to pump then thats your problem, keep pumping it even when your thumb feels like it will drop off until it is nice and loose.

Racechip experience
P.S. with a diesel it is not about 0.5 seconds quicker to 60, who cares about that? its the 50-100 where tuned diesels come in to their own!

Racechip experience
ok, so insurance, yes you should declare it whether it be a box or a remap as it is a modification. but honestly, come on! as for your chocolate tronic boxes, well, you need to find out the safe limit for torque on them. a decent tuner will have this information to hand and will map your car to suit. it may well be that they ramp up the power and add a nice curve of torque with a safe upper limit. its like everything in life, you pays ya money, you takes ya chances! if you have a manual go for one of those diesel tuning boxes (if you really dont want to take it to be rempapped), if you have an auto take it to a well reviewed tuner. Tuning doesn't break cars, stupid breaks cars.

1.9 tdi turbo keeps cutting out
what do you mean by cutting out? that to me means the engine goes off and you have to re-start. if its doing that then it isn't limp mode. start with the obvious, diesel filter and air filter. then, check the fuel system, i.e. the strainer in the tank could be getting blocked, pull it out and check. beyond that its fault scanning time. just because there is no MIL doesn't mean it hasn't thrown a fault.

Popcorn rev limiter
without going through all the pages it looks like there's not really a downside, same i got from reading elsewhere. other than re-lining your car of course! if its cheap enough i shall get it done!
