  1. Thanks all. Gareth, I'll definitely check them out. I Need to buy a new genuine turbo, so need to keep the cost down somehow. Thanks again.
  2. Hi All, Is there any good UK Audi parts stores online, that sell genuine audi parts that people have used/recommend? Need a few bits for the car. Thanks

    White Smoke

I took the car over to the mechanics today. They guys had a quick look and said straight away the turbo is on its way out. They said it will only get worse so not to drive it. A new turbo for a BKD engine code is going to cost around £700 from the dealers. Is there anyone on this forum that sells genuine reconditioned turbos?
  4. Hi Everyone, My Audi has developed a smoking issue. From what I can see in the rear view mirror the smoke is white. When I park up and get out the smell is very strong/ maybe unburn diesel? The car pulls and runs really well. Its a 2.0 TDI 2005 reg. From cold start no smoke, after about 5mins it starts, and is more visible sometimes more some times alittle less. I've run a quick scan with my simple obd2 tester, its come back with fault codes: 17055 - Cylinder 1 glowplug circuit, glowplug, 17056 - Cylinder glowplug circuit, 17057 - Cylinder 3 glow plug circuit, 17058 - Cylinder 4 glow plug circuit. Anyone come across this issue or know of the possible cause or test I can do? Thanks
  5. Given it a good test and it seems to be ok. Thanks for the help all.
  6. I will try that later on today hopefully, and let you know how i get on,
  7. Its a semi-automatic 6 speed gearbox., I just picked it up 3 days ago. Great car just need to sort a few small bits to make it perfect.
  8. Hi All, Thanks for the warm welcome ☺. The car doesn't move forwards itself, the biting point seems very weak its just about moves very slowly. Could that mean the clutch/flywheel could be going? I'll try checking the brakes to see if they binding this weekend. Is there any audi a3 exploded diagrams of the engine components on this forum? Thanks Thanks for the advise, that is something that I do. I need to make a habbit of putting it into neutral more. Thanks
  9. Hi All, I'm not sure if anyone else on the forum experiences that same issue or whether it's normal for an auto. With the car in Drive (D) and my foot on the brake pedal, when I release my foot off the brake, on a flat surface should the car move off (Without pressing the accelerator pedal)?
