  1. Hi, my car does not have ambient lighting but I did add puddle lights to both front and rear doors which did not require OBD11, just plug and play as long as you have leds in the bottom of your door cards.
  2. Hi, purchased from Amazon for about £70. You do then need to purchase credits within the app to make changes and I paid £20 which is more than I needed but good to have in hand. I also turned off the fake engine noise and dimmed the hazard switch.
  3. Hi, I have used on my 2020 S3 8V but only to turn off the rear lights DRL function. Easy to use and no problems.
  4. If your car is the same design as the current new cars for sale then this is the 8Y. If not then you have the 8V. Mark
  5. Hi I am looking to replace my plastic dead pedal/foot rest for the aluminium version but can only find LHD version on ebay. Does anyone know of this part will fit and if not where I can obtain a RHD version. Thanks Mark
  6. Hi, only just seen this and you probably have the answer by now. I am afraid it needs to go to a dealer to activate it and when I enquired about an A1 a few years ago it was in the region of £600+. Get a Tom Tom. Regards Mark
  7. Hi, I had a 2017 1.4 S line which had 18inch wheels and sports suspension and while the ride is hard I had no issues with cornering performance. I have since changed to a 2020 S3 and is a harder ride again but performance and handling are what you would expect. I live in Cornwall driving on country lanes all the time. I would suggest going to your local dealer and drive both variants.
  8. Just an update to say I purchased the s line mud flaps and they are an exact fit, much to the dealers dismay. Thanks again.
  9. Many thanks for the information. I will get them ordered. Kind Regards Mark
  10. Thanks Steve Collected my new S3 Black edition today and parked next to my trade in, my 2017 model year A3 S Line. The skirts and bumpers look exactly the same but Audi insist they are different and there is a reason why they don't list any mudflaps for the S3. Reluctant to purchase in case they don't fit. They have agreed to contact their national accessories team to check. Kind regards Mark
  11. Hi, sorry for the delay. You will need to ring or email them every year.
  12. Can anyone tell me if the mud flaps sold for the A3 s line model will fit the S3. My dealer can't tell me!!! I can see no difference in the bumpers on both cars and would like to fit them to my S3 when it arrives in the next couple of weeks. Thanks Mark
  13. You should be under warranty, take it back to the dealer.
  14. Hi, Audi connect is stand alone and once Audi issue a new license you will be able to access online services, and best of all be able to overlay google maps to the navigation. They have renewed mine for free for 3 years now. Enjoy.
  15. Hi, I own a 2016 A3 1.4 150 TFSI and recently went for a service and I was loaned the 1.5 TFSI. I found the exact same issues you describe and it also would kangaroo when at low speed in car parks etc. I asked the service receptionist who said he found the same issue and that Audi are aware and working on a fix!!!! I found my 1.4 much smoother, punchier and quieter. This 1.5 engine has been around now for a couple of years and still working on a fix!!!!
  16. Do you have any USB ports under the armrest?
  17. Can't imagine driving anything else. Currently on my 3rd Audi and the build quality is far superior to anything else. I have looked at other manufacturers but they don't get close.
  18. Does anyone know if the A3 S line has headlight washers. I have the cut outs in the bumpers but they don't seen to open and spray when lights are on and windscreen washer activated?
  19. Hi, I can't answer the question re the bluetooth but with regard to the sat nav I am afraid you are right. I looked into this for my son's A1 and was told it had to go to the stealer to pay £650 for them to plug it in and connect to Germany to activate it. Don't just buy the SD card with the maps as it does need to go to the stealer first. I have 2017 A3 TFSI 1.4 150 s line and love the car. My car does support andriod auto with no problem so no reason why you could not get this sorted although I connect via USB. Good luck
  20. Hi , I have owned mine for 2 years from new and now covered 19k miles with no issues. It is one of the best engines avail today and used in a number of cars. My son has a Seat Leon FR using the same engine again with no issues.
  21. I totally agree with Gareth on this one. The only thing keeping you on the road is your tyres. You can't put a price on safety and with the number of online tyre sites fighting for your business there is no need to pay huge money. I often find the best online price and take a print out to my local tyre shop who price match. I personally like Michelin but saying that my current A3 came from new with Hankook with AO fitment and my tyre dealer suggested I keep to these as they have been designed for the car. Good luck with your choice
  22. Hi Jason, I never bought the card. I saw them on eBay and was tempted but before I bought it I checked with a local Audi specialist and found out about the need to pay an Audi main Stealer to activate the system first. I made sure when I bought my current A3 that it had Nav to avoid the problem. I know you can buy better sat nav systems or even phone apps but it is nice to have the Audi system and to be fair have no complaints so far.
  23. Hi, I can recommend the 1.4 petrol TFSI 150BHP. I previously had an A4 3.0TDI and was amazed at the performance of such a small engine. I have the S line which is a hard ride but you can deselect the sport suspension at no extra cost. My son had the 1.6 diesel in an A1 and it's not the best engine and was part of the emissions recall which we did not do due to reports of mechanical failures and performance hit.
  24. I totally agree. I have had 3 Audi's now and have found a way around many of these things but this is locked down. I had an A4 3.0 TDI Quattro which did not have the Driver Information System, so after some research discovered that all I needed to do was to buy a replacement wiper stalk with the rocker switch on the end and gave to coding to an local Audi specialist. For £35 all functions enabled and the same applies to cruise control. It seems that many functions are simply disabled unless you are happy to pay crazy prices or specify from new.
