  1. My great aunts Toyota Corolla ended up in Kenya. That was exported legitimately though
  2. Very nice motors.
  3. I had realised euro 7 was coming. I've heard next year even electric cars have to pay ulez!
  4. Could it also be an issue with the turbo if it's not kicking in?
  5. Did you transfer the door modules from the old doors to the new doors? As this could be the issue
  6. The certificate of conformity has to be requested by the owner to the manufacturer. It baffles me it doesn't just come with the car. I'm assuming this is for London ulez? If so you should be able to check a card conformity by the reg on the TFL site.
  7. Is anyone interested in attending this show? It's been a great show in the past. This year's Jap Vs German with Rogue Static's own twist is back again at our newest venue Aldwinians rugby club in Manchester. bringing the people of Manchester some stunning motors and a great atmosphere all aimed at for the love of cars, don't have a Jap or German motor? not an issue we welcome everyone. We are asking for £5 per car on entry, which will all be donated to our fantastic charity "SSAFA the armed forces charity" who we have proudly supported for years now. there will be trades, food and facilities as per usual with our events, please be aware that the pitch is out of bounds but we are now able to place light vehicles on the apron near the pitch which now gives us more vehicular room than last time. our marshalls and event staff will all have two way radios in case of emergency and all relevant R.A.M.S have been supplied to the venue. So with that all taken care of all you have to do is click going, pop it on your calendar and show up 😁 Traders confirmed: MAS Decals Swan Lady 3D Scratch entertainment (aka DJ Liam) Virtual Rides (VR rollercoaster) Squid Ink Detailing The Coffee Guy And our special guest Dan Red Media we have three Handcrafted awards to give out too: Best Japanese car Best German Car Best in Show This is a static event and we keep to our policy of park up keys out whilst attending our events anyone caught being a !Removed! will be asked to leave and escorted from the venue, better it's us than the venues manager 😉 no tickets just pay in entry our staff will be on hand with donations buckets when you arrive and throughout the day every little can help those in need greatly and we thank you all in advance.

  9. Is anyone interested in going to Das GTI at Santa Pod tis year? Sunday 29th September 2024 at Santa Pod Raceway Car Show With Run What Ya Brung on Saturday 28th September 2024 A German car show at Santa Pod for Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW, Porsche and more. With German or VAG only RWYB plus Show & Shine Competition, Das Autotest and more. German engineering takes over for “Das GTI Show”. German car manufacturers are extremely popular on the roads in the UK; whether you’re looking for an efficient hatchback, high performance monster or touch of class, the chances are you’ve at least thought about buying a German machine before. The modern line of performance vehicles makes them popular on the drag strip too with the likes of the BMW M series, Audi RS series, VW R and GTI series or even Mercedes AMG series all capable of recording some mightily impressive ¼ mile times. Then we have Porsche whose name speaks for itself in the automotive world! We can’t wait to see which one of these marque heavy weights ends up on top of the pile at the end of the weekend. Camping available onsite so come for the weekend. https://santapod.co.uk/das-gti-show.php

  11. Wowzers! That's very expensive. Fingers crossed the second hand unit works 🤞
  12. I'd definitely recommend a second opinion on this. Alternatively contact Audi customer services
  13. I think if the cars a keeper then you've gone for a great spec 🙂 especially if it'll be rare.
  14. Think replacing the antenna is your first port of call. You could do a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  15. Glad we could help 🙂
  16. Battery suggestion was me 😉 you've taught me well Gareth🙂
  17. Fair doos, the Merc sounds nice!
  18. Keep us posted on how you get on
  19. Glad it's nearly sorted 🙂
  20. Most of you will know my saga. I'm now looking for a used or reconditioned 2.5tdi engine with bau engine code. Reconditioned preferable but appreciate its like rocking horse poo. Alternatively a low mileage engine which must have proof of service history. Breakers and sellers on eBay seem to think that service history doesn't matter. As they'll tell you the mileage of an engine without providing proof. Or proof of its maintenance. I've trawled eBay, and Facebook groups with no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated 👍 🙂
  21. Not sure if they're connected. I guess one way to check if it's not working properly is doing a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  22. I agree with the above. Don't forget to include international sellers when using eBay. I know how hard it is though looking for parts for older audis.
  23. You're welcome glad I could help and glad it'll love to fight another day 🙂 Gel free to bring it along to the shows on our club displays.
  24. Steve Q replied to TheBuell's topic in Audi A1 Club
