  1. To add to Gareths sound advice, it's often the passenger front seat airbag wiring that's the issue

    New Q3

Very nice. Have you got it, it on order?
  3. Fingers crossed you have them prewired.
  4. Glad you got sorted
  5. Speak to remappers about mpg improvements. But bare in mind it can put more strain on the car. Service history is key.
  6. Rear bases are the same but backs are different I believe. Fronts will be direct fit, but biggest issue with air bag wiring. The pin connector has to match yours. If you try to mess about with the wiring it'll most likely throw an airbag warning light. If you find front seats you like and connector is different then the easiest option to to swap your current seat airbags over to the replacement seats.
  7. The poor car is sat on my drive. I just cannot find someone who is experienced with the coding. As no one can give me a clear answer if any 2.5tdi will fire up with my ECU etc. finding a second hand engine is difficult. Finding one with service history that hasn't got any issues. Again I've thought about buying a donor car and having the engine, ecu and injection pump transferred to mine but keeping my instrument cluster but again finding someone to do the coding is proving problematic. I did think of doing an engine swap from a different car but this did not go down too well with my dad who was the original owner. Hos view was an Audi should have an Audi engine. It upsets me seeing it the way it us and would love it back on the road.
  8. You can ask Audi. Or there's sellers on eBay who can offer the code.
  9. Look at buyers guides on YouTube. Make sure gearbox has been serviced on time and quattro system. Check service history for proof of cambelt change. Make sure all electrical items work.
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 looks lovely 👍
  11. Glad it has 🙂
  12. Keep us posted on how you get on
  13. Try eBay I'd say.

  15. Keep us posted on how you get on
  16. The op got a shoe stuck behind the seat which jammed the mechanism at the back of the roof.
  17. If there's resistance I wonder if the car thinks there's something blocking the mechanism or boot latch (even if there isn't). Similar to an anti trap feature. Might be worth inspecting all parts of the system for any trapped foliage etc. I remember a member once having an issue struggling with their A3 convertible roof not working and it was because a shoe had got trapped.
  18. You'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. But the unit could have failed.
  19. Do you get any tickets when turning the key, ie starter motor trying to start it? Could it be crank position sensors? Cam sensors? Or an imobiliser issue?
  20. I bet the key fob needs a new battery.
  21. You're welcome
  22. You've done the right thing getting it booked in as it'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  23. I think it's glued on.
  24. Here you go but it's quite involved: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/255379/%3famp=1 You may be able to just wire the fogs to the headlamp power supply. not sure if you will need bigger fuses or if a code will appear though.
  25. With dsg gearboxes servicing is key. Has it been serviced regularly? If not recently then I'd change the gearbox oil first. Id Also recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
