  1. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  2. I think a module change will be a few hundred quid. Obviously worse case scenario is a knackard gearbox. But at this stage my money's on the module or sensors.
  3. I'd recommend a diagnostic check. Definitely an intermittent electrical fault. Could it be an issue with the Bose amp I wonder?
  4. Could be as simple as a sensor or the module. If the latter it won't be cheap
  5. If you've bought it from a dealer in the last 30 days then they have an obligation to fix it. Or you can ask for your money back. If it was a private seller then they might have fobbed you off. Usually a gearbox oil change is the first thing to be done if the auto gearbox starts playing up.
  6. My only advice is to get an auto locksmith to gain access. Or the AA.
  7. Does the boot not have a separate lock for the key? If it does you'll have to clamber in to unlock the rest of the car.
  8. I definitely agree. I use e5 in my ford escort.
  9. The engine will run on it, most likely slightly rougher. I know this is the case for my 93 fuel injected ford escort. However it's the rubber fuel lines in degrades faster due to the extra ethanol
  10. Diagnostic check is what I'd recommend. It could also be a short in the system.
  11. I can't say on a more modern, electrical controlled car so to speak. But when I had idling and stalling issues on a old Volvo 940 2.3 petrol a few years ago, when I disconnected the MAF it ran better which proved it was a faulty MAF. Which my diagnosis proved correct.
  12. So a non factory item. What have they said in the USA? If there's a cure in the USA chances are there's a service bulletin to show the appropriate repair if you can get hold of it.
  13. No probs. Have you got a picture of the button?
  14. Just to add my option too, I believe the rs3 is having a similar problem currently with squealing brakes. Audi haven't seemed to come up with an answer for the rs3 either.
  15. I don't think the headunit will support android auto in my opinion. Your other option is just use Google maps on your phone which will be more accurate anyway.
  16. When was the towbar fitted? And by whom? Definitely worth contacting the towbar fitting company.

    Creek

If it's creeking then could it not be a sign one of the rubber bushes is degrading
  18. You can. But you might be lucky, as you might be able to move the seat far enough forward or back to have a look and unclip the wire.
