  1. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Is there any mayo around the oil filler?
  2. I would say no. If the auto electrican supplied the part then it's job to rectify it.
  3. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. Can't say I've heard of this issue.
  4. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  5. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice to see another high mile Audi. My A6 is on 344k.
  6. Definitely worth seeing if Audi will pick up the bill. Hopefully once it's fixed you won't have the issue again.
  7. Could it be an engine mount?
  8. You're welcome. Definitely worth seeing if the Cambelt and water pump/timing chains have been changed
  9. Do all electrical items work? AC compressors can be expensive to replace if it's not working. Also if it's like the A6 of the era I wouldn't be surprised if it's hard on suspension arms. I'm assuming it's full service history? If xenon headlights make sure these are working as theyre expensive to change/fix Why is the owner selling it?
  10. It could be the seal between boot and roof, bonding coming loose on the rest window, the roof and windows not sealing properly
  11. I'd recommend a diagnostic check. As the car could still be under warranty I'd recommend getting it checked by Audi.
  12. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Sounds like an issue with central locking. You might find it's the drivers door module that's failing. As this module controls the rest of the central locking.
  13. If bought within 30 days you have the right to get the seller to fix it. Could something be blocking the roof from closing/opening. We've had one case where a shoe was blocking the roof from opening.
  14. You've got your work cut out lol.
  15. My thoughts exactly Steve. Initially I thought module before seeing the issue about the slipping.
  16. Is the passenger window sealed properly with the roof? Could it be the seals at the back of the roof/boot. Is the rear window still bonded in fully?
  17. Fingers crossed for you 🙂
  18. Oh dear like what? Have to say it's always the way lol
  19. What's the service history, does the roof work as it should, are the tyres the same brand/tread depth on the axles as uneven tyre wear can damage the quattro system. If xenon headlights are they working? Does the AC work?
  20. That's positive 🙂 the slipping clutch sensation is probably the cause of the issue.
  21. I think you might find it'll have to be coded to the car. Do t quote me on this though.
  22. That's a good thing! I'd definitely say the module. The serial number seems to be present on that diagnostic check you've done.
  23. Might be worth you waiting for it to get back to the UK. Sounds a lovely car 🙂
  24. The CVT gearbox is known as a weak gearbox. Has the car been used for towing? If so that won't have helped it's condition. I think the modules are known to be more unreliable on the CVT.
  25. My advice would be to try one out at a car supermarket like available car. The A5 is a low car, which should making it easier to get in and out. I think as long as you're not expecting to have any passengers behind the driver's seat then there should be enough room. Also as it's s line trim the seats will have more side bolsters as they're sports seats. Is there a reason why you can't try the car you're being offered?
