  1. Hi there, I believe from what you say there will definitely be valve and cylinder head damage. Bottom end damage possibly. Is it repairable?, yes. Is it worth repairing?, this depends entirely on what you are prepared to spend and what the car is worth to you personally. I guess for repair you maybe looking at £1500+, just to give you some idea or you could look for a good used engine to drop in. Hope this may help some.
  2. I've had a look too but struggling to find anything.
  3. No probs at all. Did you get to the bottom of it?
  4. This link might help: https://tvsengineering.com/en/dsg-gearbox/dq250/
  5. It sounds like an electrical issue to me. When I worked in the motor trade I found cars that had batteries with very low charge would do this. Has the battery and electrics been checked?
  6. No probs. Has it fixed the issue?
  7. You're welcome. Yes it should show the fault code. Fingers crossed for you 🙂

  9. Welcome to the forum Steve you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 yes I've heard there's various issues with evoques.
  10. Use the sat Nov again to see if it does it again. If it does then you could get a diagnostic check. The easiest thing would be to reset the mmi.
  11. Think a fellow member had a similar issue and it was a wiring issue running from the battery to the ECU. Wiring runs under rear seat.
  12. If it's not throwing up a fault I would just carry on 🙂
  13. Any warning blights on the dash. Could it be an electrical issue? What has the garage said who did the work?
  14. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It could be an issue with the ballast.
  15. Could be the handbrake module. You need to get a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  16. Service history is key. Most common.issues with diesels are dpf, egr or turbo failure. If you do little mileage then I'd recommend you stick with petrol.
  17. I'd definitely recommend a diagnostic check via a code reader. Even though you have done the right thing with the testing so far.
  18. Changing the fob battery is your first port of call. Also if you have a spare key see if it does the same thing. If it doesn't then it could be a key issue.
  19. I'd recommend you get a diagnostic check. Bare in mind it'll be a clutch and duel mass fly wheel change.
  20. Audi should have notified the supplying dealer of the change. You might be able to refuse the car if it's not the spec ordered.
