A3 v6 Manual / DSG Gearbox swap
In theory it can but you'll need all the modules, wiring looms etc from a donor car then it needs to be coded in.

I've bit the bullet
Thank you for the advice Cliff, it's greatly appreciated 🙂 We've refitted screws, nuts, bolts etc to their respective parts. I've also taken pictures of each stage so we can reverse the process.

I've bit the bullet
So like most people I've made new years resolutions including to stop swearing. This is ironic as my other new years resolution is to remove the A6 engine and establish what's gone on it. I'm doing this with support from a friend who is doing a mechanics course. We're doing this slowly/taking our time and methodically, labeling all pipes, wiring connectors and parts we remove. I'm also boxing components up according to their functions ie air system/,coolant system etc. were also doing a photo diary and using manuals. I was going to send the A6 to a mechanic friend (former friend) but this is no longer happening as I've discovered him to be dishonest and feel the A6 would not be safe in his care. Off the back of this,I'm determined to improve my mechanical knowledge and this will be supported by the fact I'm on a 4 month secondment as support staff in the education department working alongside a tutor teaching mechanics to young people. If any of you have any hints, tips, tricks or advice then please don't hesitate to share. Day 1 - not too exciting as we had limited time, we just removed the air box, maf, induction piping and coolant expansion tank, the later needs changing as you can't see the level anymore. Next plan is to remove the bumper/headlights so we can remove the radiator and rest of the coolant system.

Adding to Steve's advice, please see attached a schematic of the headlight and a link to a schematic https://audi.oempartsonline.com/v-2011-audi-a5--cabriolet--2-0l-l4-gas/electrical--headlamp-components

Updated Navigation and Infotainment
Are Audi denying they're to blame? If so if recommend a second opinion from an other Audi dealer and Audi independent specialist. Also you could open a case with the motoring ombudsman but tis will be at least a 6 month wait.

I'd clear it and see if it comes back over the ect few days. Had a look on HR forum and this member had a similar issue:

Has it got the Bose system?

Loss of pixels at base of central display
The centre screens failing is a common problem. I'd recommend googling instrument cluster repairers in your area. If they're after something custom then you could speak to cluster modz.

DRL gone yellow'y and dim
I believe they're coded
-
DRL gone yellow'y and dim
Yes. And if they haven't got them fitted as standard then it wouldn't fail an MOT.

Door rattle
If bought from the dealer within 30 days then it is covered under consumer law.

DRL gone yellow'y and dim
I think the DRLs are a legal requirement so might fail an MOT if not working. Not sure if you can replace the drl. If you have to replace the headlight your best bet is sourcing a second hand one from eBay.

Boot liner.
Glad you're getting on well with it. It's nice to get product recommendations from owners.

Have you looked at any options by k&n or revo?

A6 AllRoad suspension - help…
I do believe the system needs recalibrating. Have you had any diagnostic checks to see if any fault codes flag up since you've had all the work done?
