  1. Could also be a failed antenna.
  2. Im wondering if this could be down to worn engine or gearbox mounts which is making the engine/gearbox move which is then moving parts out of alignment?
  3. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Running on veg oil is good as long as the conversion has been done properly. No there shouldn't be an egr but it will have a catalytic converter.
  4. I'd recommend a diagnostic check for the sensors. It could either be a faulty sensor or the module. You could.inspect the wiring to make sure.non.of it's loose.
  5. This looks awesome! Nice mods list. The b6 Avant was definitely my favourite a4 model shape.
  6. Have a look for local retrofitters. I believe you'll need the new stalk and it'll need to be coded to the car. It's not a hard job to do apparently so retrofitters or even an auto electrican could not it.
  7. I'd recommend you look at buyers guides on YouTube. Check service history, has the Cambelt and water pump been changed on time as this will cost you £500-600. If an auto has the gearbox oil been changed on time as old oil can affect the b's tronic gearbox from changing gear properly. Are all tyres matching on the same axle as uneven tyre brands or wear can affect and damage the quattro system. Has the quattro system been serviced? Does the AC work? If not and it's the compressor this can be a £1000 job. If xenon lights do they work properly? And do all other electrical systems and items work?
  8. It does sound very strange, the fact the radio turns itself on when car is locked could easily be the cause of this, so the mmi definitely needs looking at thoroughly. I'd recommend an auto electrican to take a look.at the car. If the garage can't diagnose it then they should be sending it to Audi for the repair in my opinion.
  9. 66k was that the one on autotrader? Black estate 2.5? My 2.5 is on 341k on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt 🙂
  10. Lots of documented mmi issues. Audi are trying to find a fix. My advice would be to get it booked in to be looked at by your Audi dealer.
  11. They're definitely not cheap. What ever one you'll look at it'll need coding. I'd definitely recommend looking at a second hand one.
  12. Welcome to the forum Rob you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Sounds good, what mods you got on it?
  13. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Wow a very late d3 a8. A proper a8! Looks a cracking car 🙂 Why are you looking to change the mirrors? Definitely worth getting the bearing done asap. Rear windscreen might be covered under. Your insurance.
  14. Good set of mods on it 👍 You're welcome 🙂
  15. Witter are well trusted aftermarket brand. The official licensed Audi product is by Westfalia
  16. It sounds like an aftermarket head unit. As such it might need an auto electrican or radio company to take a look. Definitely would recommend a rolling road run to see. But stage 2 should have upgraded induction kit/panel filter, straight through exhaust, remap. Could be an upgraded intercooler from the sounds of it, any pics? Should definitely not be loose and rear bench just clips in I believe. Speak to autologics as various members have used them for retrofits and been happy with results.
  17. No I haven't yet. I do believe it's a failing CCM in my case. Especially as the passenger floor got wet a couple of times.
  18. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful 🙂 saw you joined both the forum and Facebook. Thank you so much for taking the time to join both 🙂
  19. It's definitely down to patience.
  20. Good point and yes MAF would normally through a fault. Could it be an issue with.the fuel pump is it's getting starved of fuel? Gunged up?
