  1. Might be worth a diagnostic check if you haven't already. I'd also recommend getting a battery test as a failing battery can throw up electrical gremlins. Also the traction control light could be caused by a failing abs sensor.
  2. I guess a fault within the air/fuel mixture could cause the issue.
  3. Normally the chain will start to clatter I believe. If it sounds smooth then I would leave it in my opinion.
  4. Definitely not a rivet in my opinion. It couldn't be a top of a head bolt that's been miss shaped?
  5. My advice would be to speak to Audi parts department to see if they can give you the relevant part numbers.
  6. I think it should be either in the boot side panels, side of the dash, in the engine bay or behind the glovebox?
  7. Your English is good 🙂 Any loose metal in an engine isn't good. What was the reason you decided to take the head off the engine? You might need to do further dismantling to make sure there's no further loose metal elsewhere.
  8. Celtic tuning, darkside or viezu are popular. These all rolling roads and I'd recommend any remap you get make sure they have one. Also if you go on Celtic tuning website it'll give you a rough calculation of what gains you can get from either a performance map or eco map.
  9. The sensors will be cheaper than the cat. I'd start with the sensors and work from there.
  10. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up. Think you've managed to cancel out an issue with the keys. So it could be an issue with the receiver or module.
  11. Compared to standard or rs? The shape of the s line bumper will be different. Even if ever so slightly.
  12. Nice. The other thing to bare in mind the age range you're looking at will make it difficult to find low mileage examples. Oldest now 6 years old.
  13. That's annoying. Definitely check turbo hoses first for leaks.
  14. Doesn't the bcm have to be the exact same one as the one fitted for the car to work properly. I know that's the case with my c5 with the CCM.
  15. Staggering mpg. Make sure it does get a good blast from time to time over 70 so the car can do regenerations on the dpf. Otherwise it'll get blocked. As long as it's well maintained you should be ok. I wouldn't change at the minute due to the over inflated prices in my opinion.
  16. My advice would be to get a garage to do a proper diagnosis.
  17. Great pics Jack 🙂 was such a good day 🙂
  18. Unlikely to get a comeback on a private sale. You'd best getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. What's the service history of the car? What work has it had recently? Any fault codes? It could be a MAF sensor, coilpack, turbo etc.
  19. You've done a fantastic amount of work. I do agree with Gareth, after ball your diagnostics I do think something is clearly stopping it. You might have to get it to a garage or audi for them to remove the sunroof.
  20. It certainly was! 35 degrees! Jack took his TT for multiple runs down the strip. I'll ask him to upload them as they're all on his phone.
  21. Such a great day at Das Auto show with fellow member Jack Phillips. Some stunning cars on display my favourite being an A6 c5 with only 6000 miles on the clock! The show was definitely better than last year with great levels of conversation between attendees and a larger diversity of cars this year, especially those going down the strip.
  22. I'd recommend a diagnostic check if not done already. Could it be an imobilser fault? Definitely doesn't sound like a key issue if both keys doing it. On my A6 there's a key receiver. Could it be that.
  23. You're welcome. Parts might be your best bet as I know they definitely have schematics or they did when I worked at Volkswagen.
