  1. That's a great result. Did they just turn off the light?
  2. Hello all, I'm UK based and in need of a new windscreen and I've been in contact with Ricky Evans Motorsport who can supply heated windscreens for the narrow body A6 at £270+ vat. There has to be a minimum of 5 orders, is anyone else interested in a heated windscreen? Their details are: Ricky Evans Motorsport Unit 11, Roman Park Claymore , Tame Valley Ind Est Tamworth Staffs B77 5DQ Tel +44(0)1827283688 email [email protected]
  3. I agree with Cliff. Often 100-150k usually. But you only change them once they start to make a noise etc.
  4. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  5. True I guess and thanks 🙂
  6. It's a big job on an A8 including engine removal
  7. Glad you got sorted, I'll be inspecting my subframe once engine is removed.
  8. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  9. Thank you, most definitely but it'll be worth it 🙂 not aiming for too crazy power as it needs to still be useable for road trips etc. Turbo and injectors are good for 280ish
  10. Looks stunning! Great pics too 🙂
  11. Funnily enough I've been to see a chap this evening and his workshop who can rebuild my engine with all new internals and skimming the head. Then considering hybrid turbo, upgraded injectors, 4 bar map sensor, straight through exhaust, port/polish head and then a remap. Then looking at upgrading the clutch and dmf.
  12. Yep I'd say bushes. A good place to start would be the suspension arm bushes.
  13. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Looking forward to seeing some pics once you get it 🙂
  14. Thanks for the update, shame they couldn't find any issue. Sorry to hear you have a new issue.
  15. Thanks Stephen happy new year 🙂
  16. No probs at all please keep us posted on how you get on
  17. They can code and retrofit. Other members have used them and been happy with the results
  18. It'll need to be coded. I'd recommend you speak to autologics or Audi retrofits to give you an idea of costs of retrofitting.
  19. Sorry I meant clock spring. It's parts of the steering wheel
  20. Glad you got sorted too. I just can't see why al cars can't just come with normal dipsticks. A bit of pub trivia during the occupation of France during WW2 by !Removed! Germany, Citroen lowered the notches on the dipsticks of their lorries so that they would suffer engine failure. https://www.drive.com.au/caradvice/citroens-genius-act-of-sabotage-against-the-!Removed!-in-world-war-ii/
  21. Could there be an issue with the click spring on the steering wheel? Not sure if it would affect the airbag or not
  22. That doesn't surprise me with 37 years of use. Sounds it's in the right hands to get it back to good health 🙂
  23. Well Ironically I used to work for available car and their cars a quite good. This was bought from Hilton car supermarket in Milton Keynes. I genuinely thought we'd get a better quality of care from a supermarket 🤦‍♂️
