  1. Yes. And if they haven't got them fitted as standard then it wouldn't fail an MOT.
  2. If bought from the dealer within 30 days then it is covered under consumer law.
  3. I think the DRLs are a legal requirement so might fail an MOT if not working. Not sure if you can replace the drl. If you have to replace the headlight your best bet is sourcing a second hand one from eBay.

Glad you're getting on well with it. It's nice to get product recommendations from owners.

Have you looked at any options by k&n or revo?
  6. Please keep us posted on how you get on

  8. I do believe the system needs recalibrating. Have you had any diagnostic checks to see if any fault codes flag up since you've had all the work done?
  9. Great to hear. Is read the reviews on them but nice to hear genuine owner experience. Hope it's going to be reliable long term 🙂
  10. Couldn't agree more. It's all a corrupted scam. I also heard it stands for burn on your driveway
  11. You're most welcome. Usually the main dealers keep the best of the used cars, any that don't meet their strict criteria goes off to car super markets etc. So you should have peace of mind in that regard. Speak to Audi about the cambelt/chain. If chain then it should last 100k+ miles. You can ask Audi to change the fuel filter. Have you tried euro car parts or your local motor factors? The benefit of manual is that the gearbox should last the life of the car. Whereas auto gearboxes are more sensitive. I think the manual gearbox oil change interval is approx 60k miles but that's a guestimate. Did Audi give you orbit ours of what other work the cars had like warranty work, brake fluid changes etc.
  12. We've seen a similar incident with an A6 can't remember if it's the previous model ,(c7) or the current model. But the fault was traced back to a loose cable which runs from the battery in the boot and goes under the rear passenger seat and to the front of the car. This had come loose and caused similar symptoms to yours.
  13. That's great to hear Tony. Hopefully the increasing trend in Chinese cars will help European manufacturers to reduce their prices and be more sensible with what they're charging. Before you bought it did you test drive other vehicles? If so how did it compare to others? What's the dealer experience like?
  14. Wowsers, I'm convinced the manufacturers are doing all these things to deliberately cost the customer or write the car off. It's no hidden information the manufacturers make more money from parts and repairs than the car sales. If the governments cared about the environment they would legislate that cars should be simple to repair with the emphasis on manufacturers manufacturers providing parts and vehicle life of 30+ years. We know this won't happen due to greed and corruption.
  15. Looks an interesting project please keep us posted on how you get on. Feel free to sell parts for free under the for sake section. If check out YouTube for inspiration.

  17. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Did the car come with a service book? What service history did it come with? Brake fluid should be every 2 years. Servicing will be minor and major. So; Minor: oil and oil filter change Major: oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter. I wouldn't do a remap untill you know the service history. Have a look on Celtic tuning website as it has a configurator which shows you potential power outputs from their remaps. Here's the service intervals: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10169091-0001.pdf I've also merged your duplicate threads.
  18. Stunning colour! Shes got taste! Dare I ask what the insurance is?
  19. Ha e you tried eBay? I suspect you might have to buy a complete grill.
  20. Furthermore info on this by a Facebook member: Reliability like any engine is down to servicing, but looked after and using good quality service parts they'll go forever. Cambelt and fuel pump belt need doing at the same time using INA belts. If you want it in a C5 (awesome car by the way) get one out of an lt35 as they're longitudinal in them. ANJ or AVR engine codes. 88 or 109 bhp versions. Get the 109 if you can they have the Bosch injectors like acv in a T4. Map well upto 140ish easily and your C5 will go like !Removed! off a shovel! Not sure on engine height though....m
  21. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Looks a lovely car.
  22. It depends on the wiring looms etc and they'll need coded in. The other thing to bare in mind is the airbags. Trying to change the plugs can cause issues with airbag warning lights. Some members have found it easier to change the original airbags to the new seats. It's probably easier asking a retrofitter what he'd charge.
  23. Good on her! She clearly is a petrol head. I agree with cliff it needs to be eBay including international sellers.
  24. Have you spoken to Audi to see if Theresa software update?
