From looking at Wikipedia the Banham X3?21 was launched after VAG took legal action against Banham over the x99. In theory the x21 was supposed to look less like an Audi TT. However the builder of your car has gone the whole hog to do the opposite 😉
Looks a stunning car! Sorry I can't help with recommendations though.
The Highlands a beautiful, where abouts do you live?
I've spent time up in the Highlands when my brother lived in Fife.
That's good. You'd be better than me 🙂 I'd be getting a professional to fit it as I'm not the best at mechanics. Even though I understand the principles.
The company owner, can't remember the outcome it was around 20 years ago at least.
Looks good! Just checked on eBay at sold items, you certainly got a bargain!
Check out the various buyers guides on YouTube. Check to see when the Cambelt and water pump were last changed. As well as seeing when the gearbox oil was last changed. As the s tronic gearbox can fail to change gear with degraded oil.
Also check tyres as uneven tyre wear can damage the quattro system.
It's possible. Might be worth speaking to autologics as other members have used them for retrofits. Won't be cheap with genuine Audi parts. Probs about £500. Aftermarket kits would be far cheaper.
I fully appreciate the emotional attachment to the car. I am with mine. Is there no way you can keep it?
As I'm sure this would be something you'd regret selling.
Have you any pics of it?
Oh wow, I missed seeing that on eBay. It caused quite a stir back in the day as it was so close to looking like a TT. I'm sure it was featured in kitcar mags too.
The owner of Banham got taken to court by Audi over the design.
It should just be clipped in place. This eBay link shows where the clips are and what it looks like from behind:

I'd advise you to remove the trim to get the part number then source the parts on eBay. A cheaper option would be to wrap the current trim in carbon fibre wrap or similar.
