  1. Sorry to hear of your issue. You could speak to the motoring ombudsman.
  2. It may take time. I know Audi have had issues with the system.
  3. It may well have done, as I believe the A1 model is being discontinued shortly.
  4. Doesn't sound like it's fitted. Speak to autologics as a few members have used them for retrofits. I can't speak for the b9 but I know the retrofit on the A6 c5 requires a relay, wiring harness, mirrors with the correct motors built in & the updated mirror switch. I suspect you'll need all this plus it being coded to the car.
  5. It should be on a sticker in the spare wheel well. Alternatively it should be on the inside front cover of your service book.
  6. Make sure the quattro system has been serviced if due. Also check tyres are the same on each axle and tread is the same level. As miss matched tyres or uneven tread wear can damage the quattro system. I'm assuming its auto as such check to see if it's had a service. As the s tronic/dsg gearboxes can fail to change gears if oil is degraded.
  7. Don't know any in Essex but the main ones for vag cars are Revo, darkside developments & viezu.
  8. Too true. There's never a cheap fix for an Audi I find. The cars need proper maintenance and proper parts.
  9. Think it was an extra. So it sounds like your car might not have it. It can be retrofitted but it won't be cheap: https://www.kufatec.com/en/audi/a4/a4-b98w/advanced-key-kessy-for-audi-a4-8w-41455

    Supension

The code would leave me to believe there's a leak in the system. Such as in one of the airbags.or pipes.
  11. Bare in mind if you change the cluster and do t get it coded it'll disable the car as it'll active the immobiliser
  12. You should just be able to touch the door handle with your key fob in your pocket should unlock it.
  13. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  14. That's worth noting thanks Steve 🙂 at least I'll know what to get when I upgrade 🙂
  15. Upgraded turbo will require ban uprated intercooler. If youre doing that then you'll need a remap to get the best out of the new turbo. Upgraded induction kit is a good idea, you could go for a straight through sports exhaust too. With all these mods you'll see a healthy jump in power. But my advice would be to make sure the engine is healthy to start with. Last thing you want to do is blow the motor.
  16. Hey Craig, my c5 is no longer supported by Audi and you can't get genuine Audi ones anymore. Genuine Audi parts are my go to where possible. My A6 has kyb shocks which are as close to OEM as I could get. I will upgrade them for a proper performance upgraded suspension at some point. As the shocks are ok, but I'm not 100% happy with the ride on the rear now to be honest. Also my old ones were self leveling, you can't get aftermarket self leveling ones which is annoying.
  17. Truthfully I have no idea what type the garage fitted when they changed my rears. It was closest to OEM they could get (kyb). Is there a way you can tell Steve if it's not mentioned in the description when purchasing?
  18. You'll notice a whistle noise or even I whine. Bearing in mind a bearing in the turbo can go too.
  19. Yes please keep me posted. I too discovered I couldn't get genuine shocks anymore so aftermarket it is in my case.
  20. I didn't know that, its a very good question. You make me wonder whether my stock sports suspension was oil or gas filled 🤔 think I'll have to do some more research.
  21. Ceramic brakes could be a good but expensive upgrade.
