  1. It's prepped for sat nav, to have it activated it'll cost £500.
  2. Sorry to hear you've had this issue Steve, glad it was caught before more serious damage was caused!
  3. How old is the battery? A failing battery can cause unusual electrical issues.
  4. I would say not, it'll need welding or replacing.
  5. It sounds like a faulty/poor quality component used. Or incorrect fitting. My dad had this with an old land rover, Cambelt had to be changed sorry after it had been done as it wasn't fitted right.
  6. Key things to check in service history, has the Cambelt and water pump been changed? When was the auto gearbox oil serviced? Is it quattro? If so are the tyres matching non each axle as mismatch tyres or uneven tyre wear can damage the quattro system.
  7. I agree, won't need doing again. That quickly then.
  8. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 You're right to want full service history. If auto make sure the gearbox oil has been serviced. If turbo has been changed then thats a bonus.
  9. A health check won't include a diagnostic check. If you're experiencing the issues now I'd get it in asap if it was mine. But I do going ott with servicing.
  10. Yea I'd change the modules.
  11. The two things I'd be considering is a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. I'd also be looking to see when the gearbox oil was last changed as degrading oil can affect gear changes on the dsg/s-tronic gearbox.
  12. That's great news. Hopefully once the new one is fitted it'll resolve the issue 🤞
  13. I'd be speaking to Audi parts department as they'll have the schematics.
  14. Glad this thread helped 🙂
  15. Thi k sedan bumper is different.
  16. You should be ok. If it's dry inside and working properly then you should be fine 🙂
  17. I'd speak to Audi if it needs a software update.
  18. Was the battery coded to the car? I think we can assume it's not the battery then in theory.
  19. As Steve has pointed out i think you'll need to clear the old fault codes. Make a note of them though. The do another scan. Has it done it since? I mean it could be an egr, dpf or turbo issue.
  20. Ah I'd missed that Steve!

    Gear change

Might be worth doing a diagnostic check. Could the part you've fitted be defective.
  22. They shouldn't be charging you. The cars under warranty and the part failed because of another part failure which is under warranty. Clearly there's an issue with the adblue systems on the q8. My advice would be to speak to Audi customer services or the motoring ombudsman. Also if you bought the car on finance then it might be worth contacting the finance company stating the car isn't fit for purpose explaining your case.
  23. Glad its helped you. Fingers crossed it sorts it 🙂
  24. With the amount of electric faults logged I'm wondering how old the battery is? As a failing battery can flag up all sorts of electrical issues. Is the car driving normally?
