  1. Sorry to hear this Tony, thankfully there's a large variety of products available which are often used in the classic car scene. The hardest bit would the carpets as the whole interior has to come out.
  2. For peace of mind on my wife's Jag I get adblue from the main dealer for peace of mind. However any of your local motor factors would be able to supply a suitable adblue.
  3. If you bought it from a dealer then you have 30 days for them to put it right or get a full refund. Also I'd be looking at the antenna first as there's more than 1 fault code.
  4. Just an update on this, I knew my gut was right, only 3 out of 6 of my glow plugs were working! 😮🤦‍♂️ So I've had them changed for new bosh components. On top of that the battery was only working at 55% capacity! I also had the glow plug relay changed for peace of mind, but keeping the old one as a spare on the road trips. Needless to say my A6 is all ready for her adventure this weekend. More to follow in that once I'm back 😉
  5. Mirrors aint cheap these days!
  6. You're welcome 🙂 I hadn't considered an inside seal to be honest 🤦‍♂️ Definitely worth contacting breakers. I'll keep an eye out though.
  7. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  8. No probs 🙂
  9. I feel your pain for sourcing parts for older audis. I'm finding trouble for a few parts for my c5. I've just had a search for you. I'm wondering if it's this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265258736462?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=eegr9222Q2q&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY And the other side: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133511258060?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=grQPZ242R9y&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY The alternative could be to get a rubber seal company to make one using the old one as a mould/blueprint.
  10. I can't speak for the Q7 but on the old allroads this issue can be caused by leaking airbags. Also alot of times the wire for the sensor can stretch besides breaking from even normal driving, or the plug will just become unseated, also causing the problem on the allroads. Very good possibility that could be the case. I would check the sensor wiring and plug first being it could be the cheapest fix. Another thing to consider is a faulty module. Hope this helps.
  11. I'd be getting it to an auto electrican.
  12. Thanks for the update Sean 🙂
  13. Ah yes, I can see it now. Should wear my glasses more often lol. I'd look for instrument cluster repair companies as I'm sure they'd be able to repair it. If you find a company that can, you could speed up the process by buying a second hand cluster so they can remove the trip button from it and transfer it.
  14. Welcome to the forum James you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Ha e you followed the correct procedure? Like this: https://www.audiworld.com/how-tos/a/audi-a3-how-to-reset-service-reminder-light-421106
  15. No probs. Ironically its more likely to be the passenger seat.
  16. Yep that's the one. There will be a couple of sensors.
  17. Common airbag warning light issues are caused by a loose wire under the passenger front seat. Regarding the other fault code, it could be a lambda sensor.
  18. I'd be trying eBay. But if you replace the instrument cluster it'll need to be coded to the car for it to work.
  19. Yep try injector cleaner. And a diagnostic check. Could be a cam sensor.
  20. That's good then 🙂 please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  21. Could be an injector, cam sensor. I'd advise a diagnostic check. Did you change the engine mounts as discussed in your other thread?
  22. I'd definitely change the sensor that's been superglued. Also I'd recommend getting an auto electrican to take a look as you've replaced a good portion of the faulty components. If it is the ecu you'll need to get it coded to the car.

    USB ports

there should definitely be one in the glovebox. But there could be one in the arm rest storage area. There might be a little cover over the hole for it, if it doesn't have it. But it might be prewired for usb. Or you could get an auto electrican to run wiring from the glovebox one to the slot in the armrest. Also there are three models for AMI Interface: mini, micro and standard USB. Depending on the type the car has you might need an AMI-USB adaptor cable.
