What kind of miles should i be getting audi a4 b7 2.0 tdi 140
Steve Q replied to Beany1's topic in Audi A4 (B7) Forum
It's fine. My daily only gets 34mpg. And the Audi far less than that on short journeys. -
Oh dear. Not being funny a part on back order isn't going to turn up over night that's for sure! You could have a look at Audi Leicester or derby. But haven't used them personally.

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It could be an issue with the key and the easiest way to check is to try and activate the boot with the spare key. Alternatively it could be the actuator in the boot mechanism.

I'd say it's about right. -
The emissions is the ea189 recall. Does seem a little limited. Did they say if it's on a long life service plan (ie every 2 years for a service). I'd definitely be looking at getting the gearbox oil changed. And quattro system oil changed (I'm applicable). Is it coming with a stamped service book?

Yes I'd say that's right. All depends on what fuel you're using. Ie shell costs a lot more than Tesco for example. -
Id be getting it to a garage pronto as the rate of coolant loss is extensive.

Great Britain - Norway / Storbritannia - Norge (May 2022) [PART 2 / 3]
Steve Q replied to Jack P's topic in Road Trips
Fantastic read Jack! The trip looks amazing. It does make me want to go to Norway to the article circle more now 🙂 -
Gareth raises a good point, I forgot you could speak to Audi who can provide you with the history for any work they've done. Don't know how I forgot that when I used to work in Volkswagen service lol.

Welcome to the forum Rob you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Sorry to hear of this situation, they should be giving you an extra service as the error is there's. My advice would be to speak to Audi customer services, the motoring ombudsman, citizens advice or trading standards. At the end of the day you've paid for a goods (the service components) and services (the actual work) but not received them.

No probs at all 🙂 I never understood why there isn't a national database that all garages have to sign up to. Where all vehicle invoices are uploaded excluding personal details. Read the small print I'd the warranty as most of them aren't worth the paper they're written on. For peace of mind you could take out an Audi extended warranty. As I find the main dealer extended warranties are best by far.

It could be a failing jet battery. I'd look at getting new battery in the fob and then reset the key. A good way to determine if it is the key is to see if the same issue occurs with the spare key. Cheers Steve

Audi’s manufacturer in China apologized on Sunday for text in an advertisement that allegedly infringed copyright, and said it would remove the videos from all company platforms. FAW-Volkswagen Sales Co., a venture in China between Volkswagen, Audi and China FAW Group, said in a statement that the video was produced by advertising agent M&C Saatchi Plc. Audi has ordered Saatchi to deal with the potential copyright infringement as soon as possible, according to the statement. People’s Daily, the Communist Party publication, warned Audi over potential repercussions from the incident. The carmaker could suffer “huge losses” to its corporate image in China and face legal responsibilities if the advertisement is confirmed to have plagiarized a video published online a year ago, People’s Daily said in a commentary. The publication’s Weibo account posted a video that compared Audi’s advertisement with the video published a year earlier, in which the text appeared to be the same. Audi’s advertisement was accused of using the same language from a poem that a well-known blogger had written and shared. Chinese regulators should investigate the case, the commentary said. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-05-22/audi-apologizes-over-china-advert-s-potential-copyright-breach

Audi Sport denied Land-Motorsport a factory-supported entry into the Nürburgring 24 because the team lacked a privateer car, according to team manager Christian Land. Land was quoted in a social media post on Monday as saying that “a decision by Audi” caused the 2017 N24-winning squad to miss the event which takes place this weekend. He cited the absence of a privateer, customer-led Audi entry from the team as the reason why Audi Sport did not grant extended support such as factory drivers. Car Collection Motorsport and Phoenix Racing are carrying the ‘Audi Sport Team’ banners at this year’s edition of the Eifel enduro. Both are also running private cars, while in recent years Land-Motorsport held one of the factory-assisted entries without fielding a separate independent Audi. Sportscar365 has contacted Audi Sport for comment. “It was a decision by Audi,” said Land. “The requirements for teams were different this year than in the past. “For example, the allocation of customer racing cars was linked to fielding additional private cars. However, a privately entered car did not come together this year. “Since we could not fulfil this criterion, we did not get a chance for a customer racing entry. “That’s a shame because we have great memories of our 24-hour races with Audi. Nevertheless, we have to accept the decision. “I can already promise that we will be back on the grid next year to fight for victory! We wish the participants all the best and the fans lots of fun.” Land-Motorsport dramatically won the 2017 edition of the N24 with Connor De Phillippi, Kelvin van der Linde, Christopher Mies and Markus Winkelhock driving. The German squad is currently focusing on an ADAC GT Masters campaign with the new Evo II specification Audi GT3 car which was introduced to customer teams this year. It also contested the opening round of the NLS season at the Nürburgring, finishing second in the season-opener with Mies and Jusuf Owega, however it did not return for round two or the N24 Qualifiers. https://sportscar365.com/other-series/n24/land-audi-decision-caused-team-to-skip-n24/

Glad all the others cleared. It's most likely a sensor. But definitely check for broken wiring. Last resort it could be the module.

Great Britain - Norway / Storbritannia - Norge (May 2022) [PART 1 of 3]
Steve Q replied to Jack P's topic in Road Trips
I'm sure I will, I do love a good road trip 🙂 -
Good on ya! If it's quattro make sure tyre tread is even on tyres on the same axle as uneven tyre tread can damage the quattro system. If auto check to see when the gearbox was last serviced. The problem with the new gdpr rules is that garages can no longer hand over all old invoices etc. It's a pain in the....
