  1. eBay or Facebook market place is your best bet. Or put a wanted ad on the breaker sites.
  2. Sorry to hear that. The water ingress issues in Audi's from.this era was ridiculous. Once my A6 has a full restoration (in time) the CCM and all electric modules etc on the floor will be moved.
  3. Definitely. Plus you can't always tell if it's going to go. Also the water pump could seize which would knacker it.
  4. I personally wouldn't be risking it as Audi recommendations are best for the engine. An independent garage will be cheaper.
  5. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 looks a lovely A4 👍 insurance companies do like to drag their heels.
  6. There should definitely be good will on this as it's just out of warranty and it's well known issue! I'd definitely fight this.
  7. I've found this YouTube video which might help: Looking online I think the part is going to be around £200.
  8. But even if you do that won't the needle be slightly off?
  9. If it's hydraulic operated I wonder if the roof coming down on its own under the weight and pressure has damaged the pump. Is there any noise from the pump? Also id recommend a diagnostic check to see if there's any fault codes.
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my money would be on the engine or gearbox mounts
  11. If you're going to 14" wheels the main issue will be if they'll fit over the brake calipers etc. What size is the spare?
  12. No this is generic advertising like Facebook etc from things you've searched previously via the use of cookies etc.
  13. What's your reason for wanting to fit it?
  14. I believe even if you fit it yourself you'll still need a garage or Audi to have them coded to the ECU and immobiliser etc.
  15. If your car has a digital speedo I believe you can change it in the settings. If its for importing the car then I think the mph Speedo has a different part number. I'd be speaking to Audi as any new Speedo will need to be coded to the car for it to work.
  16. Why would you want to do this unless you're trying to in effect clock it? It's not illegal to clock a car but it is illegal to sell that car on clocked without telling the buyer or dealer that it's clocked. Also as this would be classed as a modification you'd have to notify your insurance company at which point I suspect they'd void your insurance. But if you crash it and they check the car and find this fitted then your insurance would be void anyway
  17. Just responded to your other post 🙂
  18. Nice video Trevor 👍 was great to catch up with you again 🙂
  19. Cambelt should be changed every 5 years. Correct the water pump that is fed of the other side of the camshaft, dealer is around £599 , indi around £400. Check out self study of engine here https://procarmanuals.com/vag-ssp-616-audi-1-2l-1-4l-tfsi-series-ea211-engines/
  20. No probs. How strange. It might be worth you ringing Audi.
