  1. Did you swap the door module from the old door to the new door? As this might be part of the reason why central locking isn't working.
  2. Just my two penn'orth worth, the damage can depend on the type of 2.5tdi. For example the version in my A6 (aym) if the belt snaps the pistons stop before wrecking the valves etc. Whereas the more refined versions (180bhp) such as bau can wreck the valves etc. as yours is a late model allroad I suspect the latter will be the case.
  3. As cliff says the battery could be the cause of the electrical issues. As failing batteries throw up electrical gremlins.
  4. A body shop would do it and probably expect to Psy £100-£150 at a guess. Here's a guide I did 6 years ago:
  5. Keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  6. I'd recommend you speak to an auto locksmith. If you go to Audi you'll be charged a fortune
  7. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up but could be an issue with the headlight switch or hazard switch.
  8. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. When was the gearbox last serviced? Could it be an issue with the megatronics?
  9. I think current owner is sick of spending money on it!
  10. Servicing is key. Any proof of major work too. Proof of gearbox oil changes and oil changes on the quattro system. Make sure all electronic items work such as AC as they can be expensive to fix. Also check out YouTube buyers guides
  11. Under MOT rules MOT testers can only check the parts are fitted, not if they've been blanked out of the ECU. Garages are suggesting this as it's far cheaper than changing the egr.
  12. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up before changing any parts.
  13. Don't buy a cheap Chinese one that's all.id say. Look online for turbo specialists such as turbo technics etc.
  14. I've had a look online and struggling. My advice is to speak to Audi for them to tell you the exact colour.
  15. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  16. Have a look on eBay for trim bits.
  17. Keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  18. Sorry to hear this. Shocking that plastic is being used for such an important component
  19. Have you done a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up?
  20. Also could the battery be failing causing electrical issues?
  21. It might be easier to source a second hand one from eBay.
  22. I think you might need a second opinion. But the light could come on even if the timing is out by 1 tooth.
  23. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Norway is a beautiful country!
  24. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. This could be an imobiliser issue.
