  1. I'd be getting a diagnostic check carried out as you could be doing damage long term. When was the gearbox oil last changed? It could always be the module.
  2. I think that's how it is. You could always upgrade to a fuel tone airhorn type 🙂
  3. The pixelated screen is a common issue. Damp? If you've got damp in the ECU or ccm this could be your major issue.
  4. I believe the clocks, key, ecu are all interlinked. Are they all working properly?
  5. Sorry you've not had a reply to your other threads. Quite interested in this upgrade abd have most of the components to do it to my c5 too. Definitely could be the antenna. Is it definitely the right one? There might be an upgraded one you can get. I know the once with the sat nav can fail also. Also is it worth trying another symphony radio too at least rule that out?
  6. If you've bought it from a dealer within 30 days then they should fix this FOC. Or you're entitled to a full refund. Might be worth getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  7. Could be a door lock mechanism. Might be worth getting an auto electrician to take a look. Or get a diagnostic check.
  8. Can't say I've heard about this one. Thanks for making other members aware of it though 🙂
  9. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ☺️ great Audi history you've had 👍
  10. Most definitely! At least I've got an engine swap option if need be 🙂
  11. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 lovely looking s4, not surprised your pleased with it 🙂 any mods planned?
  12. Six-cylinder TDIs with up to 282 horsepower are now compatible with renewable fuel. "Decarbonization" – it's a word you'll be hearing a lot going forward as automakers are gradually phasing out combustion engines to make way for an array of EVs. Audi has jumped on the electric bandwagon by announcing 2025 will be the last year when the Four Rings will introduce a new combustion-engined car. Starting with 2026, the Ingolstadt-based company is going to launch only EVs. Come 2033, the production of cars running on fossil fuels will come to an end. However, Audi has said the ICE could live on for a few more years in China, depending on customer demand. In the meantime, the German luxury marque is updating some of its much-criticized diesel engines to run cleaner by making them compatible with renewable fuels. Compatible with V6 TDIs producing up to 282 horsepower (210 kilowatts), HVO stands for hydrotreated vegetable oil. It represents Audi's intermediary method to curb emissions before pulling the plug on the oil burner. Many of the six-cylinder engine configurations have been tweaked to run on the more sustainable fuel and have been leaving the factories in this cleaner setup since mid-February. Compared to the ol' diesel, Audi claims CO2 emissions are down by a whopping 70 to 95 percent. There's also a side benefit to adopting HVO since it has a 30-percent higher cetane rating, thus enhancing the combustion process. That should pay dividends during cold winter mornings, but there are only about 600 fuel stations in Europe where you can find HVO. Most of them are located in Scandinavia and only a few are at home in Germany. HVO-compatible TDI engines are currently available for the A4 through A8 models, along with the Q7 and Q8. Audi's engineers have prioritized the most popular diesel-fueled models, which is why the Q5 will follow early next month. The A6 Allroad is going to receive the same treatment this summer. Elsewhere, the Volkswagen Touareg V6 TDI can also feed on sustainable fuel. The latest decarbonization process follows a similar method applied back in June 2021 for the Q2, A3, and Q3 models equipped with a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine. Some of the four-pot TDIs in the A4 through A7 models plus the Q5 were made compatible with HVO in select countries last summer. In the long run, Audi and the whole Volkswagen Group will introduce combustion engines developed to accept renewable synthetic fuel. https://www.motor1.com/news/569338/audi-v6-tdi-renewable-fuel/
  13. Definitely sounds like dpf and or egr. You can try and clean it by removing it. Alternatively you can get a garage to do a forced regeneration. But ultimately you might need a new dpf or egr or both.
  14. Definitely have a look at YouTube buyers guides. I believe these engine have a timing chain. And not all garages want to work on them when this job is needed. Always check service history as it shouldn't be skimpt on.
  15. Think you'll need new ballast modules.
  16. When I had mine done on my c5 V6 it cost around £600.
  17. Have you had a diagnostic check? Also have you checked the new battery to see if it's dead. If so then there could be a battery drain.
  18. Tickets have now gone on sale 🙂 I've just bought mine 🙂
  19. It's advisable. My advice would be to ring round abd get quotes from various garages. Including other Audi franchises.
