  1. If this is s-tronic then my first port of call would be to look at when the gearbox oil was last changed as degrading oil can affect the gear selection. In failing that it could be the module.
  2. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  3. When was the gearbox oil last changed? Could it be a gearbox mount?
  4. Looks lovely. I'll never get rid of my c5 that's for sure.
  5. I'd definitely recommend a diagnostic check as a failing maf, dpf or egr temp sensor or injector fault should come up.
  6. Definitely could be turbo or a leaking pipe from.the turbo.
  7. My advice would be to get a recovery firm out or get it to a garage for either of them to do a to diagnostic check. Due to the age of your Audi it's worth looking at when the main battery was last changed as it could be failing. An average battery life is between 5-7 years.
  8. I've emailed the organisers for a club display. Ill let you know once they've got back to me 🙂
  9. You're welcome 😊
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Two code readers that are common are vag com or VCDS. Usually the steering wheel controls will have to be replaced but they just plug in. Better off trying a second hand unit first.
  11. Sounds like a great plan 🙂

  13. Sounds like you've done a great amount of diagnostics and work. If the diagnostic check says a starter motor then that would be my next port of call.
  14. Welcome to the forum Gary you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Great history on Audi you have glad you love the brand 🙂
  15. OK... Just working out the costs involved for a road trip to Bulgaria: LeShuttle from Folkstone/Dover to Calais approx £150 (each way). Then drive through Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania and finally arrive in Varna/Bulgaria! This is just under 1,700 miles, my camper does approx. 25mpg so estimated to use about 68 -70 gallons of diesel (4 or 5 tanks). Average £5.60 per gallon (highest UK price, some countries a lot cheaper!) so I'm looking about £380 - £400 worst fuel bill each way. Vignettes are about £60 for various countries. So the total return trip should be less than £1,200? (£600'ish each way). We're in no hurry BTW, and plan to camp in Germany, Austria & Hungary on the way! Should take about 4 days to get to Varna Bulgaria! 😁👍 Anyone done this trip?
  16. My advice would be to inspect the front sensors for damage along with the wiring. This might help: Also if it's the module I believe you have to get the exact same part number including the matching letter.
  17. Brill. I'll contact the organisers to get a club display ☺️
  18. Check the battery tray area near the bulkhead, or the pollen filter housing or the ac pipe. Or sunroof drain pipe if sunroof is fitted. Definitely try and dry it out best you can or get it looked at asap otherwise you could start having electrical issues.
  19. This could be an issue with the headlights switch. I know on the a6 c5 a failing switch can cause all sorts of odd headlight issues. I appreciate my car is older but it's definitely worth looking at. Alternatively you could get a diagnostic check carried out or get an auto electrician to take a look.
  20. I think it'll depend on which panel it is.
  21. When you're using your ventilation system is the econ button lit up? If so it would imply the ac isn't working at all which could mean a failed compressor. Regarding Cambelt I paid £600-£650 on mine at an independent garage. Baring in mind it's a front of the car off job or it definitely is on my a6 c5.
  22. Welcome to the forum Dom, sounds like you've got a good project there. The first job I'd do I'd the Cambelt and water pump. Regarding the wiper, my advice would be to dismantle the boot trim to inspect the motor and look for water ingress into the boot etc. Usually the motors seize due to water leaks. The central locking might need a diagnostic check as it could be a door module, remote signal receiver or an issue with the key. My advice would be to get an auto electrician to take a look. Regarding the mirrors the auto function might require you to get new mirrors with the function. It's the case with the a6 c5 like mine.
  23. Possibly, I'd mentioned nit more as a general thing.
  24. Happy New Year to all our members 🎉✨🎊 May 2022 be a prosperous and awesome year!!
