  1. Madness. Let me just add, you might find it's not genuine leather but instead a plastic substitute. Vegan leather is also a name for it. Hopefully it's real leather though.

There are different types. It's the back contacts that are most important as they have to match. You could try a vin decoder as it should give you the options list on your car which might help narrow down which one. Alternatively there should be a part number on the cradle. If you speak to Audi parts department they should be able to advise which phone matches the cradle.
  3. I don't blame you, it's definitely a case of passing the buck. Technically if the car isn't fit for purpose then it is the finance companies responsibility.
  4. I think there should be.
  5. Is it worth getting an auto electrican to check to see if it's getting power? Or a diagnostic check? It could be the heat pad.
  6. Thanks for the heads up on this Steve. Might look to try it in the works minibuses
  7. Please keep us posted on how you get on. Definitely shouldn't have happened
  8. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the turbo, dpf or maf sensor but I'm just guessing.
  9. eBay is your best bet. Think it'll be an Audi Nokia one.

eBay is your best bet. Search Audi phone. I believe the one you'll be after is a Nokia one.
  11. Seatbelt warning light could be a loose wire under the passenger seat. A diagnostic check might give you more info. Just take the car to an exhaust garage. As it could be the hanger instead of the centre box.
  12. Sorry to hear of your issue. Let's hope Audi can get to the bottom of it soon. However with the ongoing mmi issues I wouldn't hold my breath.
  13. Egr are common to fail on modern diesel's. You're better off buying genuine Audi one as aftermarket ones can be dubious quality.
  14. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Is there any mayo around the oil filler?
  15. I would say no. If the auto electrican supplied the part then it's job to rectify it.
  16. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. Can't say I've heard of this issue.
  17. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  18. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice to see another high mile Audi. My A6 is on 344k.
  19. Definitely worth seeing if Audi will pick up the bill. Hopefully once it's fixed you won't have the issue again.
  20. Could it be an engine mount?
  21. You're welcome. Definitely worth seeing if the Cambelt and water pump/timing chains have been changed
  22. Do all electrical items work? AC compressors can be expensive to replace if it's not working. Also if it's like the A6 of the era I wouldn't be surprised if it's hard on suspension arms. I'm assuming it's full service history? If xenon headlights make sure these are working as theyre expensive to change/fix Why is the owner selling it?
  23. It could be the seal between boot and roof, bonding coming loose on the rest window, the roof and windows not sealing properly
  24. I'd recommend a diagnostic check. As the car could still be under warranty I'd recommend getting it checked by Audi.
  25. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Sounds like an issue with central locking. You might find it's the drivers door module that's failing. As this module controls the rest of the central locking.
