For my daily (Ford kuga) I bought a wrap around one from ebay to cover sides and rear seat too (approx £14). I then added a solid one from ebay too (approx £30).

First pics of the RS Q e-tron’s interior. Includes: massive handbrake for massive drifts Yes of course it’ll drift, but if you needed actual visual evidence, it’s right here. Audi has released the first images of its RS Q e-tron’s cockpit and included within the rather technical arrangement is the all-important drift-handbrake. Audi terms it a “double-cranked aluminium handbrake lever”, but it’s basically the fun switch. “Pulling on the handbrake helps to recover energy, as does operating the footbrake,” says Audi. But the essential purpose of the handbrake in rally racing is to induce a slide of the RS Q e-tron before corners. The brief locking of the rear wheels forces the car into rotation. This makes direction changes particularly agile.” You see? Drifting [in rally] is ESSENTIAL. Moving on. You’ll notice it’s a touch less polished inside here than, say, an A8 limo, what with it being a 671bhp electric Dakar rally racer and not an executive’s wheels. Audi reckons it should remind ‘car fans’ of an aeroplane cockpit because the screens and displays are spread out across the entire dash. Well, we certainly know it can fly. There are eight buttons on the steering wheel (buttons? Never catch on, that) for various car-based functions, and some displays in front of the driver. Want more buttons? There’s another central display with 24 of them bolted on for the co-driver’s use; buttons that can be assigned to various functions as per each team’s wishes. Finally there’s an ‘Iritrack’ system used for emergencies that tracks the speed and current position of the RS Q e-tron in case of an accident. What else, what else... ah yes, the RS Q e-tron gets a pair of electric motors from the company’s 2021 Formula E racer, a 50kWh battery and a 2.0-litre DTM combustion engine (to recharge the battery). Audi has just revealed the 2022 TT Heritage RS Edition, a stylish sendoff to the highest-performance variant of its small sports car. Limited to just 50 examples, the Heritage Edition will serve as a a special five-color run-out to the model in the US, although the TT RS will live on in other global markets. Likewise, Audi's lower-power TT and TTS models will continue to be available in America for 2022. Audi will build ten Heritage RS Edition examples in each of five colorways, all of which are are inspired by the automaker's fabled Ur-Quattro rally champion, a model that shared the TT RS' unusual turbocharged five-cylinder engine configuration and Quattro all-wheel drive: Alpine white with ocean blue leather and diamond silver stitch Helios blue metallic diamond silver leather and ocean blue stitch Stone gray metallic with crimson red leather and jet gray stitch Tizian red metallic with Havanna brown leather and jet gray stitch Malachite green metallic with cognac brown leather and black stitch As far as final sendoffs go, the Heritage Edition treads firmly on the safe side of the ledger. It's more of a "trim and tape" special -- you won't find any meaningful performance upgrades beneath its rounded sheetmetal. That's just fine, though, as the standard TT RS is already one heck of a performer, with its 2.5-liter five-pot delivering 394 horsepower, 354 pound-feet of torque and 0 to 60 miles per hour in an estimated 3.6 seconds. (The TT RS shares this charismatic powerplant with the RS3 sport sedan, which will continue to be offered in the US.) If you somehow happen to miss the distinctive color combinations, you can also spot a TT RS Heritage on the street by noting a subtle Heritage Edition etch script in the rear side windows. The etching also calls out the engine's one-two-four-five-three firing order. The TT RS Heritage also benefits from a long list of standard equipment, including 20-inch five-spoke Cutter wheels in a two-tone finish, OLED taillamps, rear-wing delete and Alu-optic trim on the mirror caps and front splitter. On the inside, the model comes standard with an Alcantara-clad steering wheel and shifter, along with RS logo floor mats wearing contrasting stitching. Due at dealers in early 2022, Heritage Edition pricing starts at $82,495 including $1,045 delivery fee. Audi India on Friday informed it has started the local production of the 2022 Audi Q7 SUV at its plant in Aurangabad. The updated Q7 is likely to be launched in the first month of the new year and will sit under the Q8. While Audi has bet big on electric through the course of 2021, the Q range still remains at the core of its thrust here in India. Accounting for 45% of the company's India sales, Audi brought in the new Q5 last month. All eyes would now be peeled on the Q7 which, at one point, was the flagship SUV from the brand before the Q8 was launched. Nonetheless, the new Audi Q7 is likely to keep its fan base intact. An even more imposing front grille at the front, MATRIX LED headlight units, large air intakes, chrome garnish on the window and a chrome line on the door are some of the exterior highlights of this SUV. The rear also gets LED lights with generous doses of chrome. The 2022 Audi Q7 measures 5,063 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width and 1,741 mm in height. The SUV gets a 2,995 mm wheelbase. It gets a massive 865-litre storage capacity, which can be expanded to 2,050 litres by folding rear seats. Already available in select global markets, the new Q7 boasts of an updated feature list which includes rear side airbags, heated ORVMs, updated tyre-pressure monitoring system and adaptive cruise control. A representative for the brand said 80 percent of the RS lineup will be electrified by 2026 Audi is serious about electrifying its entire lineup—even its top high-performance vehicles. The German luxury automaker’s sports division is still figuring out what’s next for its range-topping R8 model, but whatever it is, it will involve a fully electric powertrain, according to CNET. And the same goes for every other model wearing an R or RS badge. Audi Sports head of marketing Linda Kurz told the website that the R8’s successor, be it a new generation or an entirely new vehicle, won’t have an internal combustion engine. That’s because her division’s main goal going forward is to “transform the R segment, and the R segment is going to be fully electric. This is our job for the next decade.” This statement shouldn’t be read as a vague promise, either. She said that by 2026, 80 percent of the RS lineup—which currently includes the RS5 Coupe, TT RS and RS Q8 SUV—will features some sort of electrification. This shouldn’t come as a complete shock, as Audi has announced a slew of battery-powered models in recent years (including the RS e-tron), but the company’s timeline highlights just how serious it is about electrification. It also gives further credence to last month’s rumor that the company is working on an all-electric version of the RS6 Avant performance wagon. When reached for comment by Robb Report on Thursday, a representative for the marque said they had “nothing further to add at this time.” Whatever form it ends up taking, the R8’s successor will have some pretty big shoes (or tires) to fill. The marque’s current halo car—which was first introduced in 2006, and is only on its second generation—is a true beast. The current top-of-the-line R8 V10 Performance Quattro S Tronic variant is equipped with a 5.2-liter V-10. It’s mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to each wheel and can pump out 602 horses and 413 ft lbs of twist. Thanks to all that power, it can rocket from zero to 60 mph in less than three seconds, and has a top speed of 205 mph. It’s exactly what a halo car is meant to be. Very interesting. On that basis it would imply commercial vehicles will remain diesel for a very long time to come. But it just supports my theory that electric vehicles aren't the future. The problem we have is that if we still had a fantastic rail network like we did in the 1950s then it would mean we could get lorries off the road. For example my Gran remembers the mixed freight trains pulling into the yard in oymur town, the British rail scammel 3 wheel lorries ten dropping the goods to local businesses. Or they would go and collect it. This would be ideal now to get lorries off the road but thanks to the short sightedness in the 60s such as the ban on mixed freight and Beeching axe (I appreciate it wasn't just him) it's left us in a situation where we have no choice but to rely on the road network for all deliveries. As the demolition of the old infrastructure is long gone.

I'd forgotten about the crystallisation. Regarding that Mazda that's really naughty. I can see down the line the next "emissions type scandal" will be regarding manufacturers charging for work that's not required etc. I have to say regarding my wife's jag, it's been reliable up to this point (touch wood). It's a 17 plate with 42k. And very economical.

Arnott are very experienced. My experience of them is air compressors on the a6 c5 and appear popular amongst owners when the Audi compressor units fail.
