What a cracking show. Was great to meet up with old friends. Here's some pics. No Audi's on display though.

Yes I believe you're correct.

Petrol is definitely best for the driving you do. One main issue is the brake servo restricted issue. You'll find an extensive post about it on here. Also check out YouTube for some good buyers guides.

You're welcome 🙂

Don't go there, my local tyre place says tyre prices are going up nearly daily!

Looks a very nice car 🙂 the d3 is my favourite a8. Here's a video of how to change the motor:

You could always look at a headunit upgrade but it won't be cheap.
-
Yep you could get one made by a Russian company for various Audi models including the c5. Was contemplating one for when I can get back out on my more scenic road trips lol.

Looking online.it appears to be grey. Think the S3 had a green one? This link might help too: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Audi_B6_A4/13-WATER-Coolant_Temperature_Sensor_Replacement/13-WATER-Coolant_Temperature_Sensor_Replacement.htm -
We'll be getting to the show for 9ish. For the heads up there won't be a club display at this event. But we'll look forward to seeing any members who attend 🙂

In my opinion most warranties aren't worth the paper they're written on, excluding the manufacturer approved warranties. You'll pay more but it's the one I'd choose. But definitely read the small print of what's covered/not covered.

Wow thanks for the link kev! Unfortunately they're in Belarus which if I'm not mistaken is going to come under sanctions due to the ongoing war. It was like the steel undertray I wanted. It would have come from Russia so can't get that now.

Any neat ways to stop the battery going flat in a rarely used car ?
Steve Q replied to 8thDay's topic in Audi A3 (8P) Forum
I'd keep it on a smart charger. Like a trickle charger but one that knows when the battery needs charging etc. -

National Drive It Day was created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs in 2005. It is the occasion when historic vehicle enthusiasts and the public at large have the opportunity to celebrate the One Thousand Mile Trial organised in 1900 to prove the viability of the new invention, the motor vehicle. It’s also a chance to raise awareness and support amongst the public for the historic vehicle movement and keeping transport heritage on UK roads.
