  1. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. My brother has driven both the 911 and r8 and he says the R8 is the better drivers car.
  2. My advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out. Does it happen after short journeys or long journeys. Whats the weather conditions when it happens ie hor or cold. It's probs worth trying to establish if there is a pattern to the issue.
  3. I'd start off with the sensor first. As replacement of dpf abd egr is costly. However the dpf abd egr could be clogged and may need replacing anyway.
  4. On the more technical code readers it should be able to read historic codes. As the car should store them once they appear even if the car has managed to find a way around the problem. I'd still be getting it checked if it were mine.
  5. Obviously you'll know any mods you do could void your warranty.
  6. That helps.
  7. I would for sure.
  8. Is it manual, or auto? A d what mileage? It could be a clutch/duel mass flywheel or engine/gearbox mounts. If it's happening when down shifting it could even be the exhaust knocking on the body.
  9. Exactly. Very annoyed I couldn't take my a6 to simply Audi. Hoping it'll be ready for audis in the park this Sunday! Apparently my dad and my mechanic both confirm that the car is still on all it's original rear suspension. Not bad at 336k miles!
  10. Behind the glovebox, under the carpet in the footwells or the firewall?
  11. My advice would be to remove the door card to thoroughly inspect it. I know with my much older a6 the lock abd door handle has an adjuster as this broke on mine making the handle loose.
  12. No probs at all. The next one is this coming Sunday.
  13. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ☺️ not surprised your excited! I know I would be
  14. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are be a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my advice would be to look for tailored car seat covers on google.
  15. Good luck 🙂
  16. No probs at all. Have you had it fixed now?
  17. Once again it was a cracking show with a great selection of audis. For the first time Audi themselves made an appearance with a wide selection of new cars. Weather was warm to start with then ended up with torrential downpours. It's such a good value ticket price of £13 as you gain access to the show, museum and manor house. Thanks to everyone who attended, and im looking forward to next year's show. Here's a few pics:

  18. Great to meet you all again today. Was a great show as always ☺️
  19. Right I'm at the back of the carpark behind all the audis by the hedge.
  20. Hi Steve, thank you for your reply. Jacked the car up. It's the shock that's sheared from the mounting.
  21. Right I'll be attending but not in my Audi as the rear shock sheared from its mounting! This happen right after it was washed, fueled and packed ready to go. So when I meet you I'll be in a blue Ford kuga 66 plate.
  22. Hello all, needing some advice. I've got a knocking noise from the rear (think driverside) does anyone know what it could be? It only happens when moving all the time. I've shook the car up and down and have discounted the springs or shocks. I know I need to get it to a garage but I'm needing the car for simply Audi tommorow and it's going to be a 328 mile round trip. Was driving down tonight and have a hotel booked. Very tempted to call out the AA to take a look for peace of mind. It's a 2002 avant model if that makes any difference.

It's good you've had the car checked but sorry to hear you've not found anything loose under the car. Nect port of call would be to look for anything loose in.the engine bay I think. But it could be a gearbox issue
  24. Think you have to turn it off every time.
