You're welcome. Your alternative option is to have a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up. Or take it to an auto electrician.

The Red Bull Ring will host a technical meeting to discuss the future of Formula 1’s power unit on July 3rd ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix, which will include bosses from several major manufacturers. F1 is set to replace its current 1.6L V6 hybrid power unit from 2025 and discussions have been ongoing to determine what the future power unit should look like. Whilst it’s unlikely to be a major departure from what is currently powering the sport, F1 bosses are keen to reduce its complexity and development costs to attract new manufacturers. This could be achieved by dropping the complex MGU-H and relying solely on the MGU-K for electric energy. There will likely be a move to standard parts to bring costs down and this meeting is aimed at deciding what direction to go in, that would satisfy the most parties. The meeting, which takes place on the Saturday of the Austrian GP, will involve the current manufacturers; Daimler chairman Ola Källenius, Renault CEO Luca de Meo, Ferrari’s John Elkann and Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz, as well as F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, motorsport director Ross Brawn and outgoing FIA president Jean Todt. Also involved in the meeting will be Porsche CEO Oliver Blume and Audi’s Markus Duesmann. The VW Group (VAG), which covers Porsche and Audi, have previously been involved in engine discussions which ultimately didn’t result in them joining the championship, though they came very close to a deal with Red Bull prior to the ‘Dieselgate’ scandal, which cost the manufacturer billions in fines and forced the company to scale back. There’s hope these latest talks will persuade one of VW’s brands to become involved as an engine supplier to replace Honda, which will depart at the end of the current season. Although Red Bull will continue to use its power units up until 2025, it hasn’t yet committed to anything beyond that. The talks will centre on determining what is the best way forward for F1. The base power unit will remain a V6 running eco-fuels, but will likely utilise a larger battery for increased energy recovery. There has also been hints that F1 could look at four-wheel drive, with an electric motor powering the front wheels. https://www.motorsportweek.com/2021/06/28/porsche-and-audi-to-join-f1-engine-meeting-in-austria/

BERLIN -- Audi plans to build a battery-powered version of its range-topping SUV, the Q8, at its plant in Brussels, securing the factory's future, according to Automobilwoche, a sister publication of Automotive News Europe. Production on the vehicle, which will be called the Q8 e-tron, will begin in 2026, according to the report, which cited company sources. The plant currently builds the Audi e-tron and e-Tron Sportback EVs, which are due to get a facelift in 2023, then go out of production in 2026. The two cars are underpinned by Audi's MLB Evo platform, which is being phased out and replaced by the Premium Platform Electric. The Q8 e-tron will replace the Q8, which is built at Volkswagen Group's factory in Bratislava, Slovakia and sold only with combustion engines including hybrid drivetrains. Audi sold 5,313 units of the Q8 in Europe through April, up 37 percent year-on-year, according to JATO Dynamics market researchers. Audi's works council welcomed the decision to allocate the Q8 e-tron to the Brussels plant. "For us, it's important that that Audi models are produced at Audi locations," a works council spokesman told German motoring magazine auto motor sport. Audi's employee representatives have been lobbying for parent Volkswagen Group to add more electric-car production to the luxury brand's factories. The works council is reported to be unhappy that the Audi Q4 E-Tron is being built at VW's plant in Zwickau, Germany, alongside its MEB platform siblings the VW ID3 and ID4, and Cupra Born. Skoda's MEB-based electric SUV, the Enyaq, is being produced at the brand's main plant in Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic. Questions over the future of the Brussels-based plant arose last year after the site lost a bid to build Audi's new flagship electric sedan, codenamed the Landjet and developed by its Project Artemis. The sedan is scheduled to start production in 2024 alongside versions for Porsche and Bentley. That bid was won by VW's commercial vehicles factory in Hanover, Germany, leaving the Belgian plant without a follow-up project for the e-tron and e-tron Sportback, currently the only vehicles produced at the site. The plant is more than 70 years old, with the first vehicle rolling off the production line in 1949. It currently employs 3,076 people. According to Automobilwoche, the final decision on the production location for the Q8 e-tron will be made in November during the company's next planning round. This would allow enough time to ensure the plant has enough capacity to produce the SUV. When contacted by Automotive News Europe, an Audi spokesperson said the company would not comment on speculative news reports. Audi said on June 22 that it will phase out production of combustion engines by early next decade except in China, as the company accelerates its transition to becoming an electric-only automaker. https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/future-audis-brussels-plant-secured-new-top-end-electric-suv-report-says

Last new petrol and diesel powered Audis to enter the market in 2026 Bosses say these will be the 'best internal combustion engines we've ever built' From 2033, only pure electric vehicles will be sold in European showrooms Petrols and diesels will continue to be made available in China, where Audi says the market will continue to grow after 2033 Bosses at German car firm Audi have today confirmed plans to phase-out petrol and diesel models, with a deadline of 2026 set for the release of its final vehicles with an internal combustion engine. After that date the brand will cease development of fossil-fuelled cars and redirect attention to pure electrification. By 2033, Audi says it will no longer offer petrol and diesel-engined models into its European showrooms - though it will continue to sell them in China. Audi became the latest in a host of car makers to outline their intentions to do away with the internal combustion engine over the course of the next decade, following the likes of Fiat, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo, as well as exotic brands including Bentley and Lamborghini. Like many rival manufacturers, Audi's goal is to be net-zero carbon by 2050 - the same carbon-neutrality target set by parent group VW. Part of this process will see the end of development of internal combustion engines come in five years' time. From 2026 there will be no investment into evolving its petrol and diesel offering and all models removed from sale some seven years later. But while there won't be any new engines coming to market, Audi says it will continue to build its existing fossil-fuelled powertrains for China, as the market is expected to continue growing after 2033. For Europe, the schedule for winding-down availability of petrol and diesel models begins with immediate effect, as the German car maker plans to launch 'more than 20' electric 'e-tron'-badged vehicles before 2025. Its latest electric car, the e-tron GT, has received rave reviews and is, despite a high starting price of £79,900, experiencing high demand. Already due to launch next year is the large Q6 e-tron SUV, while an electrified version of the A6 luxury saloon is also due in 2023. Speaking at the Climate Neutrality Foundation conference on Wednesday, CEO Markus Duesmann said: 'Audi is ready to make its decisive and powerful move into the electric age. Through our innovative strength, we offer individuals sustainable and carbon-neutral mobility options.' Commenting on the proposed ban on sales of new petrol and diesel passenger cars in different countries - with the UK setting a deadline of 2030 - Duesmann added: 'I don't believe in the success of bans. I believe in the success of technology and innovation.' Audi believes that the exact timing of the combustion engine's discontinuation will 'ultimately be decided by customers and legislation' combined. 'With this roadmap, we are creating the clarity necessary to make a decisive and powerful transition to the electric age. We're sending the signal that Audi is ready,' the Audi boss continued. And in something of a two-finger salute to law makers, Duesmann added: 'Audi’s last internal combustion engine will be the best we've ever built.' https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-9717447/amp/Audi-pull-petrol-diesel-models-European-showrooms-2033.html

Flagship electric SUV to get new battery, better electronics and more efficient motors Audi plans to upgrade its E-tron and E-tron Sportback electric SUVs with a new-generation battery, affording them longer ranges, as part of their facelifts during the latter half of 2022. The update is aimed at extending the shelf life of the flagship siblings until at least 2025, when they’re set to be replaced by an all-new SUV, possibly called the Q8 E-tron. Along with the new battery, the E-trons are earmarked to receive more efficient electric motors and an upgraded electronics system that will enable greater energy recuperation among other enhanced functions. Autocar has been told by sources inside Audi that the upgrades to the powertrain will boost range to more than 373 miles for both variants. By comparison, the 95kWh battery currently used delivers a maximum range of 249 miles. The first two models in a growing range of electric Audi models, the E-tron and E-tron Sportback were introduced to the UK in 2019 and 2020 respectively. They are based on a modified version of Audi’s MLB architecture, which was originally developed for ICE cars, making them inherently more compromised than an entirely EV-specific creation. the pending arrival of the Q6 E-tron, which is based on the new EV-specific PPE platform that was developed in an engineering joint venture between Audi and Porsche. “There will be a facelift for the E-tron SUV and the E-tron Sportback,” a high-ranking Audi official told Autocar. “They will both be significantly upgraded with a number of technical updates that will further increase their competitiveness.” Following confirmation of the new Q6 E-tron at the Shanghai motor show back in April, suggestions were that it could replace the E-tron and E-tron Sportback. However, while the Q6 E-tron will also offer both regular SUV and coupé-inspired Sportback bodystyles, it is described as being smaller than today’s E-tron flagship pairing. The Q6 E-tron will compete in a different market segment to the E-tron and E-tron Sportback,” our source said. “It’s smaller – roughly the size of the [conventionally powered] Q5. However, the dedicated platform will allow it to offer interior and load-carrying space similar to today’s Q7.” The source added that the Q6 E-tron, which is being developed in parallel with the upcoming new-generation electric Porsche Macan, is planned for launch in 2023. Before the Q6 E-tron arrives, Audi plans to bring another electric SUV to market, albeit exclusively in China. A seven-seat sister to the Volkswagen ID 6 (which is also China-specific), it will be based on the MEB platform. This second MEB-based Audi model, after the smaller Q4 E-tron, will initially be produced at the Audi-SAIC joint venture’s factory in Shanghai, China. Plans also call for it to be produced at the Audi-FAW joint venture’s site in Changchun, although not before 2023. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/2022-audi-e-tron-set-major-upgrade

Rally-inspired performance coupé claims a range of 248 miles; will cost just shy of £1 million. German firm E-Legend has revealed an ultra-exclusive 805bhp performance EV that pays tribute to the Audi Quattro S1 rally car. Named the EL1, the coupé is powered by three electric motors and draws its reserves from a 90kWh battery pack, all of undisclosed origin. E-Legend says the rally-inspired EV has a 248-mile range, can do 0-62mph in just 2.8sec and will be able to complete the Nürburgring Nordschleife twice when driven in its power-hungry Sport Plus mode. The 1680kg car is equipped with 19in front wheels and 20in rear wheels, front and rear LED daytime running lights, a bespoke spoiler and three-way adjustable suspension. The interior is yet to be finalised, but we do know that it will feature multimedia connectivity, air conditioning and a rear-view camera. “The goal of E-Legend is to transfer analog primal instincts of emotional driving into the modern world,” the company said. It stated that the EL1 is “based on a super-light and proven carbon monocoque”, again from an unnamed supplier. “In its first stage of development, this automobile is powered by electric motors achieving 600kW [805bhp] and wears an extremely enchanting dress in the style of one of the unforgettable technical wonders of the legendary rally era,” E-Legend said. Just 30 examples of the EL1 will be sold, priced at around £762,000 (€890,000) before taxes. VAT will push the price up to around £914,400 for UK customers. E-Legend also said that two further rally-inspired models will follow in the future, both with the same production run of 30. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/electric-cars/new-e-legend-el1-audi-quattro-inspired-805bhp-ev

My first port of call would be to look for broken wires in the loom. The wiring runs into the door from the b pillars of im not mistaken. You'll need to move the rubber sleeve to see the wirers at that point. If they're intact then you'll need to remove the door card to inspect further.

There's definitely not much out there on the web. I have found these two links: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/807361-Odometer-reads-L3-4-5-and-no-milage-reading-Anyone-ever-see-this-before https://www.700r4transmissionhq.com/audi-a4-speedometer-not-working/ But my advice would be that this could be a dealer job to repair.
