I'm lucky I've got a good body shop local. Will have a look at sourcing new doors

No probs, sorry I can't help more

It's the same here in the uk to be honest. I do hope you get to the bottom of it. I would recommend a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up

An age-old motoring stereotype might have been laid to rest by government data which shows the types of cars that have been involved in the most crashes on British roads. According to figures from the Department for Transport, the Vauxhall Zafira has been involved in the most accidents, given the number registered on the roads - but the biggest revelation could be found further down the table. The figures have also revealed that BMW drivers have significantly more crashes in the UK than Audi drivers. In fact, the Ingolstadt marque, which pioneered Quattro all-wheel-drive technology and made waves on the world rally scene, emerged as one of the least-crashed cars in Britain, with fewer than 200 accidents for every 10,000 cars on the road. Compare this to BMW drivers, who have something of a reputation for forgetting their indicators, and it has been revealed that fans of the Bavarian brand have been involved in 297 accidents per 10,000 cars registered. The figures, which were gleaned under the Freedom of Information Act by Rivervale Leasing, set out the BMW 3-Series as the fifth most crashed car on UK roads. According to the data 17,215 accidents involved the popular family saloon, and there are 578,674 registered in the UK. Three Vauxhall models top the list - the Zafira, Astra and Corsa came in first, second and fourth place altogether. With 34,300 accidents across all Audi models, and a total of 1,783,064 Audi cars on the road, Audi came in 10th in the list of the 10 most-crashed manufacturers. Vauxhall came out on top, and the next most-crashed brand was Renault. Peugeot came third in the top 10 manufacturers. So it would appear that, statistically speaking, Audi drivers are safer drivers than BMW drivers. Maybe the old BMW indicator jokes weren't so far off the mark after all. Wings are well known problem on vag cars of this era. I need mine looking at again. Yea the doors a worry for me too and dread the thought of getting a replacement door.
-
I'm sure keys are around £300 from Audi, but that could be a pair. They have to be specially ordered from Germany if I'm not mistaken.
-
You're welcome, fingers crossed for you 🤞
-
Just see what your local motorfactors recommends. Don't go for the cheapest though. You could always try Audi?
-
Very nice. My family have owned my a6 from new. My dad then me. That's it, they take a lot to maintain which makes it harder to get rid of them. Mines got sentimental value now though.

Engine

AC Motor Services in Syston Leicester have been great with my a6 a d have done all repairs to it since the car was 3 years old.

From google: "P1249 Meaning The Engine Control Module (ECM) supplies voltage to each fuel injector on the injector high voltage supply circuits. ... When a fuel injector circuit condition is detected by the ECM, the affected fuel injector(s) is disabled".

Looks lovely 😊 rarer in 3 door form 👍 how long you owned it?

Definitely try another dealer. As I had a bad experience with one Ford garage for my Ford kuga daily (Audi is in semi retirement) abd had to go to another dealer to get good service. Regarding the chrome trim, what car wash was it? I ask as some hand car washers use certain acids not designed to be used on cars. Ironic you say that about the Mondeo as a fellow member has just bought one

Thank you ☺️ I would suspect they're too large. You'll need to make the files smaller. Or what I do, i put the pics on Facebook then save them from Facebook onto my phone and that reduces the size down.

It might be worth forgetting the s4 bit, abd just looking under the part number as I wouldn't be surprised if the same part was fitted to other Audi models such as the s3 or a6 c5 -
Don't worry, all audis are welcome on our club displays ☺️ bodywork wise mine is ok, abd the interior is worn but it's to be expected at 335k miles. I call it all patina lol. For me displaying my Audi is a small part of the experience as it's about the social aspect for me. Take a look at our events section. Here's a pic of my a6 at beaulieu from 3 years ago. And north coast 500 trip last year.

Audi charging hub with quick-charging stations addresses future peak demands and the lack of charging opportunities at home Audi is driving its transformation as a provider of sustainable premium mobility. The brand plans to ramp up its efforts by 2025 with a wide range of more than 20 fully electric models. The key to its success and the crux of this transformation is the availability of charging infrastructure. Audi is working on a concept for quick-charging for premium-level electromobility. A pilot project in the second half of the year will provide a specific outlook and a practical test for a possible serial roll-out. Audi’s electric offensive is picking up speed: For the first time ever, more than half of the newly introduced models are electrified in 2021. The recently introduced Q4 e-tron series offers an attractively priced step into premium electric mobility and is also an important volume building block of the electrification strategy. With the growing number of electric models, the requirements for the charging infrastructure will also grow. A solution to peak demands in the future could be the Audi charging hub. The concept calls for high-power charging (HPC) stations that can be reserved in advance to provide a high level of planning security. A lounge area directly nearby will provide an attractive, premium place to pass the time. Flexible and sustainable concept: 2.45 Mwh storage Cubes form the foundation of the Audi charging hub. The flexible container cubes fulfill various technical requirements and house charging pillars as well as used lithium ion batteries for energy storage. The use of 2nd life modules from disassembled development vehicles doesn’t just give the battery cells a new, sustainable purpose – it also provides a great benefit in their suitability as ancillary storage for direct current. This makes complex infrastructure with high-voltage lines and expensive transformers unnecessary. Thanks to this huge interim storage – roughly 2.45 Mwh – the six charging stations, which have a charging output of up to 300 kW, only need a standard 400 volt high-voltage hook-up. That makes output starting at 11 kW per cube sufficient to be able to fill the three storage modules with a total capacity of 2.45 MWh continually and to charge them overnight. Photovoltaic modules on the roof provide additional green energy. This not only makes it easier to selection possible locations, it also reduces the planning time required and the costs while also saving resources. In addition, the modular concept provides maximum flexibility and scalability. The hub can be transported, installed and adapted to the individual location quickly – largely independent of local network capacities. “The charging hub embodies our aspiration for the electric era and highlights Audi’s commitment to ‘Vorsprung durch Technik.’ A flexible high-performing HPC charging park like this does not require much from the local electricity grid and uses a sustainable battery concept. Our customers benefit in numerous ways: from the ability to make exclusive reservations, a lounge area and short waiting times thanks to high-performance charging. This is consistent with the premium concept,” says Oliver Hoffmann, Member of the Board for Technical Development of Audi AG. Premium: Lounge area upstairs It only takes a little longer than a coffee break to charge an electric Audi. The Audi e-tron GT12, for example, reaches a charging capacity of up to 270 kW. That allows it to charge enough energy for up to 100 kilometers in about five minutes, with a charge from 5 to 80 percent taking roughly 23 minutes under ideal conditions. To make the wait a true premium experience, a lounge will provide Audi customers with the perfect setting for an enjoyable charging stop. The upstairs lounge area offers a place to pass the time that is modern and in line with the premium concept, the perfect space and setting for a break with added value. A variety of amenities and a range of snacks, drinks and non-food items make the charging stop a welcome break. Trials and practical test: Pilot to launch in late summer The search for a location in Germany for the Audi charging hub pilot project and talks with possible partners are currently underway. It is planned to go into operation in the second half of the year. The findings about day-to-day operations and customer acceptance that are generated from this will be decisive for further implementation of the concept. “We are testing what the optimal technical solution is in a very realistic way. The focus in doing so is firmly on the needs of our customers,” Hoffmann adds. The plan for the pilot phase also calls for drivers of other brand cars to be able to use charging stations that are open and not reserved as well as parts of the lounge. https://www.automotiveworld.com/news-releases/audi-pilots-concept-for-quick-charging/

Do t get me started 😂 I have just updated one of the threads and put this link in it. I still can't see how making cars more complicated is good practice. It technically means cars cost more, burbs more carbon to produce them and ultimately means only garages can fixed them. It's just a money making racket.

Just seen the news article. It is affecting Audi: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cityam.com/audi-to-idle-10000-workers-as-chip-shortage-continues-report/amp/

German carmaker Audi will idle 10,000 staff for the second time in a matter of months due to the ongoing semi-conductor shortage. Workers at the firm’s factories in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm will see their hours shorten as production is slowed at the sites, German newspaper Handelsblatt reported. The slowdown will come into effect next week. A spokesperson said that Audi had not yet taken a decision on what it would do in June. Back in January the firm had to furlough the same number of workers due to the shortage, which has hammered car giants around the world. Barely a marque has been untouched by the dearth, which was the result of a surge in demand for electrical items such as laptops, mobiles, and tablets during lockdown. This week Volkswagen said it would suspend production at its plant in Chattanooga in Tennessee due to the issue. Consultants Alix Partners have predicted that the shortfall will cost global carmakers $110bn in total this year. And some semiconductor makers have warned that the crisis will likely last into 2022, prompting politicians to look for other means to address the issue. Earlier this week outgoing German chancellor Angela Merkel said she was worried about Europe’s dependence on foreign-made chips. “If a big bloc like the EU is not in position to create chips, I am not comfortable about that,” she told a summit on the future of innovation in Germany. “It is not good if you are a car nation and you cannot produce the core component.” https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cityam.com/audi-to-idle-10000-workers-as-chip-shortage-continues-report/amp/
