  1. I'd be looking at inspecting the coils, sparkplugs first and then injectors.
  2. Could it be in one of the door cards? Or bizarrely the centre console?
  3. Hope you find someone who can do.this Stuart 👍
  4. I think it would be easier to source a second hand complete handle unit, dismantle it and repair yours. I'd say eBay.
  5. Wow, it's taking shape! Will look ace once completed 👍
  6. I believe the b6 and b7 interiors are compatible. I feel your pain on sourcing interior trim. It's proving a nightmare for me also.
  7. I'd be speaking to an auto electrician 👍
  8. Well I'd check where the battery sits near the bulkhead. I suspect the drain holes in the battery tray have clogged at some point abd let water into the car. The water gets in.and affects the CCM module as it's attached to the bulkhead. I'd be checking this as my first port if call. Or water can get in via the pollen filter housing if that's cracked. Think youll need to get an auto electrician to take a look. Worse case scenario the ccm is fried.
  9. I think it would need coding a d my advice would be to speak to a retrofitter
  10. Welcome to the forum Greg, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Grey is a good choice or maybe black or gun metal
  11. Welcome to the forum Adrian you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 The a7 is a lovely car, hope you're pleased with your purchase 👍
  12. I'd be checking ball rubber pipes. Was the previous one whistling before it was changed under warranty?
  13. This is a great thread ☺️ thanks for keeping us updated 👍
  14. That looks about right but I'd ask Halfords for advice. Option one was popular back in the day, I'm assuming they're still legal? You still see them on the road.
  15. Think you're 3 options are: 1st. Universal one that attaches to the boot which probably will be the cheapest. 2nd. Roof rack with bike carriers which either can be bought from Halfords or more expensive option of Audi. For this you'll need the roof bars, rack abd bike mounts 3rd. Only applicable if you have a tow bar but you can get towbar mounted ones.
  16. Glad the cars been good up to this point 🙂 as long as they're well maintained they're usually reliable.
  17. Couldn't find it in the forum, but found this: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/8529/ Allegedly this is the purpose: (Still should have a part number though surely!) "Coolant Expansion Tank with Silicate Repository The coolant expansion tank contains a silicate repository. Silicate is used to protect the aluminum components in the coolant system from corrosion. There are silicates in the G13 coolant, but they are used up over time if the engine is subject to high thermal loads. To compensate for the silicate consumption, silicate is taken from the repository and added to the coolant. The silicate repository provides additional protection against corrosion for the aluminum components in the coolant system over the entire lifespan of the engine."
  18. Without the phone I'm not sure this is possible
  19. Could be an abd wheel sensor. Might be worth having a diagnostic check carried out to confirm this.
  20. I agree with Gareth, Audi uk needs to be contacted. This isn't normal. If it were done by Audi, the cannisters would have a part number and would be easily ordered from a parts department. If there's no part number it cannot be ordered. Surely fitting something to s coolant system which can cause failure to other components is not logical.
  21. I've never heard of this. Might be worth your mechanic taking nthe system apart, getting the cannisters out to see if they have an Audi part number. If they don't have an Audi part number then I'd say something isnt right
